  1. 8 hours for $1600. I'd rather have 64 Vision 110's.
  2. Nice. Just be thankful it wasn't a Spotted bass. We'd be left wondering what happened to @Angler Andy.
  3. Thank you to all our veterans.
  4. @king fisher That was almost 43 year ago. I'd wager you could beat that record if you try again.😁
  5. @Lottabass A Sun rise from my boat deck holds alot more value nowadays. We only get so many of them.
  6. Here in Ga. it's never too cold, too windy, or too wet for me. The air temp is way down on my list of concerns as our water temps rarely drop below 45 on our bigger lakes. If I have the time I'm gonna fish. I have to ride tractors, work on equipment, mend fences, feed & wrestle cows in those conditions. But I'm hard headed, hot natured, and YOUNG.😁
  7. C'mon man. It's easy! Go for 24 months of full day schooling and get your Airframe & Powerplant license. Work on jet engines for a 10 - 12 years and you'll find tearing down, cleaning, lubricating, and reassembling reels is easy.😁 Or call DVT. A man has to know his limits. Mine is electrical work beyond changing batteries.
  8. Typically no snow around here. It's the Cow effect Work that gets us this time of year.😁
  9. Fished a couple humps yesterday and the Channels had apparently taken over and liked my football jigs. Moved on after a dozen cats and one big girl, probably a big Flathead that opened up a Dirty jig hook.
  10. @Swamp Girl Not a single house on the 3400 acre lake. Just three boat ramps and a power plant.
  11. I rode the struggle bus yesterday and caught one bass by pitching a spoon to it when it was chasing bait on the surface over 40 FOW. I fished deep, shallow, in-between, slow, fast, big, standard, & finesse.
  12. @Peacedivision That's cute. It'd look alot better with some teeth marks on it. I've got to get me a school of those. Goodluck breaking it in.
  13. Very nice. Spots are great fighters.
  14. Every day is a new puzzle and that's the fun/challenge of fishing. If I crushed them every trip I'd soon grow bored and likely start Lumberjack Sports, Competitive Badminton, or something. Too many times I've caught them dragging a Ned in 25' only to find them in 3 FOW the next day on a topwater.
  15. After 30 years of predator hunting primary in the dark solo many miles from anything, I'm pretty heeby jeeby proof. I've called every critter that lives in Ga. that'll eat a rabbit in distress or sqeaking mouse to my lap. I also bowfished for 12 years like an addict and 95% of that was nocturnal. Before I was old enough to hunt alone, I'd fish alone right through the nights. But at the age of 9 or maybe 10, I was gonna hunt alone for the first time. Just me and my Harrington & Richardson 20 gauge in a 10' ladder stand. My grandpa thought it'd be a great idea to watch Grizzly the night before my first solo hunt. Right, the movie where they had to dispatch it with a bazooka. So the next morning he walks me straight to the stand with orders to stay until he returns. I climb up, load my shotgun, settle in and commence to wait for daylight. After about 15 - 20 minutes I started to hear something large walking around me in the darkness. It was steadily getting closer and I begin hearing heavy breathing and instantly my mind clicked to thoughts of a 13' Grizzly that could only be ended with a weapon that made my single shot 20 gauge look like a joke. I was terrified and cleared my jacket from over my fixed blade knife in preparation to fight for my life and sat stone still focusing on ever sound. Well, finally the glorious Sun rose and allowed me to get a good look at a very large Black Labrador with a red collar. I vowed way back then to not let my mind play tricks on me. Thinking back on that deal, the heavy breathing may of been me. I did take a 110 lb does that morning so it was worth it.
  16. Wonderful news!
  17. Excellent! Fun? Crazy folks don't know they're crazy.😁
  18. I missed the entire Spring while my boat was being welded. But I'm back on the water for the next two months.
  19. Couple custom colored KGB Chad Shads. Dirty Thirty & Sake Bomber.
  20. I have Calcutta 200, I bought new 30 years ago with probably 801 million spinnerbait cast on it. A new Calcutta Conquest 300 MD Long Handle for big swimbaits. Six Abu Garcias 5500s that I worked over for catfish trolling.
  21. Spro KGB Chad Shads. Just ordered a couple more in custom colors.
  22. It was cool, wet, and windy. But I found 5 today.
  23. Yes. Sadly the Eelgrass floating all over my lake brutalizes you mentally.
  24. Spooned up 16 of these silver torpedoes today.
