Doing something unusual or maybe extreme for the conditions usually works for me.

My #1 are the Nikko large and small hellgrammites. Catch tons of LM and Spots on them. 50 - 60 plus fish per bait is normal.

I'm much more concerned with the brain eating amoeba in our Georgia waters as my jon boat is a wet ride on my preferred windy days. We also have the terrible flex eating bacteria in our lakes that I think about when my thumb is all chewed up from lipping fish. Concern of lead is way way down the list.

I'm GTG with SDJ, ALBERTO, and simply loop occasionally. Nothing wrong with learning, I just reserve my RAM for other things.

I'll take light, medium, and heavy winds over flat calm except at night. Only concern about the wind direction is how I need to position my boat before Spot Locking to effective fish my target area. I'm going to stay out in the wind while everybody else goes and hides in coves or heads home. This is the very reason I have a 80 lb trolling motor on a 14' jon. Our bass like small light baits and they don't care that I'm up there in 10, 20, or 30 mph winds. Many times I'm only able to fish just down wind behind the boat, so I'll make a few cast and jog over with the TM 5 - 10' and continue. I will always choose the conditions of pic №1 over №2.

Just filled up my truck with 93 E - free at $4.80 a gallon. Wasn't long ago it was over $5.

Pam olive oil spray and baked them at 375 for 25 minutes. My wife prefers them plain so anything on my fillets is added after cooking.
