  1. She was an obese LM that looked like she had swallowed a grapefruit.
  2. Yesterday, caught 4 roughly the same as pictured below. Lost a very big girl that likely was a DD within inches of my net. She hit a 9" 5.3 oz Bull Shad as I was slow rolling it in 8 FOW.
  3. Got my first cast iron a few months ago, it's a 15" Lodge and cooks great on my junky electric stove. It's a heavy beast but distributes the heat nicely.
  4. Nice. I enjoy catching those feisty mean jokers.
  5. I slow roll them close to the bottom on deep humps for Spots.
  6. I've never attempted to skip the Bull Wake. I would imagine with it being a multi joint bait with a large lip, it's not going to skip well. You might want to check out a Magdraft or Burrito for skipping.
  7. Nope. I'm going if the tornado sirens aren't screaming as I hook up the boat in a down pour. It does play a role on shorts/jeans or sandals/boots. I truly enjoy fishing in inclement and windy++ weather. I'am highly allergic to lightning, so I'll wait it out in the truck at times.
  8. 6" Huddleston weedless because our rip rap gets fished to death, so I show them something different.
  9. It's hard to beat the sound my taut line makes as it cuts through the water during the run from a good fish. The sound of my buzzbait having a cinder block dropped on it on a pitch black night.
  10. I see quite a few pros and Tubers doing it and I believe it's because they're running their drags locked down.
  11. I agree with Glenn on the strap. My left forearm used to ache something fierce after throwing big swimbaits for hours. So I researched and found specific stretches and exercises to help relieve the pain. I did those stretches and excercises for a couple months with no relief, but did not stop fishing. I picked up a strap and after two or three trips I was completely painfree. I wore the strap for eight or ten more trips without pain, so I put it in my dry box and if I ever get a hint of pain it's going back on my arm. Goodluck.
  12. Great fish! Gained knowledge, applied that knowledge, and had great success. PRICELESS!
  13. Excellent. Ton of info. Thanks Glenn.
  14. Caught 6 yesterday. Glad they're finally done fasting.?
  15. Excellent. Bass fishing Fellowship. ?
  16. Wonderful news. Get us a pick of the boy.
  17. Very nice. May need a rod holder or two.?
  18. Excellent. Thank you.
  19. I don't personally own any fast sink BS's. I modify SS and floaters to achieve the ROF I need. Really would depend on your river's current and the depth you want to cover. Only reason I'd ever buy a fast sink, is if I was gonna do a top hook mod. With that said, I don't chase smallmouth and rarely fish flowing water. Hope some of that helps you in your decision.
  20. Excellent. That is indeed a great day of fishing. But I can't for the life of me figure out how you got your scale wet, in a canoe, pulling in fish after fish.
  21. Lead wire that BS to your liking. Below is my 6" floater that's weighted to be an XXXXSS for fishing over shallow grass.
  22. Not me some of mine are too heavy and too expensive to dare do that. I'm always concerned about the handle getting turned and damaging the tip guide.
  23. Out of the list of forums I presented to my PO, this was the only one he Ok'ed. BR has rules?
