  1. Fished from 7am - 1pm this morning. All caught on the 3" & 4.25" Nikko Hellgrammite T - Rigged.
  2. My primary lake is 50 miles round trip. Getting there only takes 35 minutes, but getting home can take 1.5 - 2 hours due to the 77 school zones. My close to home lake is 10 miles round trip.
  3. I'd leave the battery in the back. You'll have no problem with 6 gauge on a 14' boat.
  4. Couple Deps 250's
  5. Yes. But I'm trolling a 25 hp Mercury, 6 gallons of fuel, aluminum floor, deck, subfloor, and a silly amount of tackle under the front deck. Even after fishing 8 hours in the wind, the trolling batteries rarely go below 70%. I also like the 4.4 mph to chase schooling Stripers & Hybrids.
  6. For many years I got pushed around by the wind in my 1448 flat jon with a 40 lb thrust TM and it was a struggle. When I did her makeover, I put an 80 lb on it, so I could fish where I please. I'm not suggesting you go that route. With your boat being a V hull a 55 lb should be perfect. Wait. If it's gonna be your only propulsion. Go big.

  8. Honorless individual
  9. The truth/accuracy is an extra charge. You didn't click the box, did ya.😁
  10. They're wonderful & horrible at the same time. Kinda similar to the Hot/Crazy scale.😂
  11. It's not new but maybe new to you. The Nikko Hellgrammite 3 & 4.25" size. I'm not sure if our LM & Spots love them or hate them, but they eat them. From now through the Summer a T " Rigged hellgrammite wears them out.
  12. Excellent. No pain meds yet, that's great. Like I mentioned, tell your Physical Terrorist that you need to train for fighting and holding 15 lb bass for pics.
  13. I've only had medically induced fishing funks, but I'm very young.😄 Nothing wrong with taking a break or pulling the throttle back a bit. The fish aren't going anywhere.
  14. How are you doing @river-rat ?
  15. Two fresh new calves flanking a Feb. 24 th calf.
  16. No music in the boat. I sing and the beautiful vibrations traveling down my fishing line calls big fish.😁 I sing to my cows, on the tractors, on the mower, I'm certainly gonna sing on the boat.
  17. She's my "Precious ".😁
  18. KVD L & L does help. I do not stretch my FC and it's changed annually if not needed before.
  19. I think it's a logical concern. Figure with me at 260 lbs, a Terrova 80, and a 15 lb Solix on the front deck. My batteries are in my back seat and reducing the weight it's gonna take alot more of my short shaft out of the water.
  20. I run 3 Duracell group 31 AGM's and they've been flawless for over 6 years. I too have been looking at Lithium batteries. Besides the cost difference, the thing that concerns me is how my boat will handle while trolling with me on the front, if I cut the battery from 189 lbs to 63 lbs.
