  1. Take it to a scrap yard and get it weighed then there is no guessing. I had to take my trailer yesterday to get it weighed so that I could get it registered. Cost me $5, quick and easy!
  2. I use a worm binder for my spinners and buzzbaits! It will definitely fit in your pack!
  3. My opinion is medium is to light for Texas rigged baits. I always use medium heavy, but again just my opinion. I would think the medium is too light to drive the hook through the plastic of the bait and the jaw of the fish.
  4. This is my new ride, 2007 Bass Tracker Pro Team 170 TX with a Mercury 9.9 4 stroke on the back!
  5. I would say close to what they call out on the description. If they are in their factory bags. I bought some plastics I have in bulk and put them in heavy duty ziplocks. I can fit about ten of those in the large KVD but if they were in their factory bags, I think you could get close to the 40 bags they say will fit in
  6. I use the KVD speedbags in the large size now for my plastics. I would think they would be nice for your purpose.
  7. Yes I got the boat Tuesday!! Haven't had the chance to get it out and fish yet, when I got there to pick the boat up and transfer the title the guy informed me that he didn't have a registration for the trailer. Went and transferred the title for the boat and hauled it home the two hours without plates on the trailer. Have to get the boat off the trailer this weekend and then go weigh the trailer so I can register it. Then hoping to get the boat out soon after that, I don't play games with the law, cause as they say if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all.
  8. I just bought a 2007 Bass Tracker yesterday and it has this trolling motor on it also, sounds like I may be upgrading it sooner than I was hoping for with all the problems I am hearing about it.
  9. Well this plan was scrapped yesterday, that is the bad news. The good news is I am now the soon to be owner of a 2007 Bass Tracker Pro Team 170 TX. Going to pick up the boat tomorrow!?
  10. I wear a fly vest while wading, I tried a backpack, a waist belt, and a sling pack and all hurt my back after a long day. The vest doesn't seem to put unnecessary weight on my back and it forces me to not carry as much tackle!
  11. I like the Gun Metal color but my buddy I fish with has that color, so I will probably go with another color. Depending on what they have
  12. The longer one is an inch narrower, but from what I have heard from people that own each is they are both very stable. I will probably end up with the bigger one, for the simple fact then I won't have to upgrade later, and it comes with a few more options also!
  13. Well the height thing is not a problem, haha, I am just as round as I am tall some would say!
  14. Tuesday of next week I am headed to get a new kayak, decided on a Bonafide. A buddy of mine has a SS127 and I can't decide if I want that one or the the shorter SS 107. He is telling me I should probably get the bigger one, because of my weight. They both are rated for well over my weight but when you add in tackle and other equipment, I am starting to believe the bigger one is the way to go. I don't want to go into the whole experience with my mind totally set on one or the other, I am going to talk to the guys that own the shop and see what they say, since they know best most likely. Really excited to get it and get to fish from it the rest of the summer. The next issue after that will be color selection! HAHA. Ok I guess I am just thinking out loud a little here, but if you have opinions, fire away!
  15. I bought a Legalis for my new Dobyns Colt rod and fished it quite a bit over the weekend, the drag is really smooth and it is very light weight to me. Pulled in a couple nice sized largemouth on the Ned rig with it. Very happy with the purchase for sure, if I fished with spinning rods more often I would definitely buy another without question.
  16. It is about a ten minute drive for my brother, so he fishes there every weekend. He is starting to really figure that section out. I like fishing it with him when I go up. Never know what is coming out of the water when you set the hook, and we always catch something.
  17. Was up fishing with my younger brother over the weekend. Mostly fished the Oneida River in the Three Rivers Area, beautiful river, caught some nice bass. I caught a 4# largemouth and he caught a 4# smallie, within about ten minutes. Caught a lot of smaller fish also, the occasional pickeral, and rock bass out the wazzuu. His buddy caught almost a 5# smallie the next day also out of the same river. We also fished Delta Lake near Rome, Ny and the Black River. It was an amazing weekend with all the good times and beautiful scenery. Then Sunday took my Mom on a drive up into the Adirondacks, WOW is all I can say!
  18. The 4" one should be ok on that hook. Like I said try one on the hook and see if it has a lot of excess plastic below where the hook ends, just a judgement call really and probably just a personal thing also
  19. Those would work for shorter Dingers. I always put a hook next to the bait that I want to use it for, if the hook doesn't look like it will cover at least half the bait then I go the next size up in hook. Again this is just my preference. I don't like a whole lot of plastic hanging out there without the hook in it, reason for this is I feel if they are short striking then a smaller hook is even more of a problem!
  20. To me for a 5" Dinger I wouldn't go smaller than a 3/0 hook, but that is just me. The superflukes may be too big for a 1/0 also. I have never seen those hooks in person so have no experience with them.
  21. I use the Ozark Trail braid scissors from Walmart. They are cheap and have a lanyard to put around my neck so I don't have to look for them all the time. If they get dull I just go buy another pair, since they are so cheap.
  22. I like my Columbia shirts, haven't tried any others though. Haven't felt the need to!
  23. I have only messed with a rod and reel from them for a little bit at a show. They didn't feel like the best quality stuff to me, but like I said I only messed with it for a few minutes. I have a fly rod from Allen which is part of their company I believe, it is very nice for the money I have in it.
  24. I haven't had that problem with mine, it is quiet as can be!
