I like War Eagle skirts but Pradco discontinued the bleeding shad so I bought dalmation skirts from fishing skirts. Mine is the one with the bigger head.

What skirt colors are best up your way? Bleeding shad has been my top with gold and silver willows.

Honey Do Wood Projects
IB Sunday we drove 42 8’ pipes 43” into the ground to support corners and gates. This week we have been cutting trees away from the fence area and welding braces where needed. Next week the wire will be strung. Then I will get back to fishing.

Anyone else live too much in the past?
Sorry but I am probably way older than any of you. Yesterday is gone and forgotten. I just got in from the lake and am planning my next trip. I don’t have time to reminisce.

Question about ardent reel kleen/reel maintenance
I use acetone to clean bearings. I soak them in it. Dry them thoroughly. Then I put a drop of oil on them and reinstall them. I use reel kleen on the outside of the reels and on the rods.

Painting spoons?
You can use powder paint by tapping with a brush. Heat the spoon and dip the brush in the powder. Hold it over the spoon and tap the brush with your finger. You can do multiple colors and accents with this method.

Choosing Line
I use fluorocarbon mostly; 6# for Ned, 10# for cranks, 12# for jigs, and 15# for spinnerbaits.

Favorite TRD Ned head weight for 15-25 ft.?
1/16 and 3/32 are the weights that I use the most no matter the depth. I use the Midwest Finesse head that I pour.

Fishing Survey Anyone?
- making or buying
Both buy and make- Hunting or Fishing?
I only like to eat quail so fishing for me because it is nearly impossible to do catch and release when hunting.- The New Bunks Are On
Yep. That is the way I launch. I unhook in the parking lot back down, float the boat, go park. Same loading, load the boat, go to the parking lot and hook everything up. Maybe 30 seconds to launch and maybe 45 to load. I have been doing this for at least 15 years. When my wife is along, she drives the boat launching and loading. When she loads, I drive to the nearest restroom and hook things up while she uses the facility.- your favorite scents
