Who uses a Jackplate on their boat? - Would you add one to your next boat?
Probably neither. I’d get what ever is on the boat that I would buy.

buzz bait vs. whopper plopper
I can’t count the fish I have caught on a buzz bait, but I can count my whopper plopper fish...1.

School me on rod lengths
For me is casting distance and accuracy. I’ve never noticed sensitivity differences in the same caliber of rods. I am more accurate with a 6’6” rod than a 7’. I can cast a 7’ farther. I fish mostly open clear water so most of my rods are at least 7’ long.

temptation resisted.
My thought exactly. A little heat and the tip should slide right off.

Bow mounted transducer
Surely you mean stern instead of bow. A pic would be helpful.

Check out my trail cam.
Good pics. We watched a buck with a notched ear change and grow. He was coming along well until a neighbor saw him during the season.

Reel maintenance
Taking apart is easy. It’s the putting back that can be tricky. Carefully laying each piece in a row as you take them off and placing them so you know what is up and what is down is a big help. Check out some you tube videos before you begin.

Hey White Bass guys and gals...
Wind is your friend. Wind will move the algae. Zooplankton will follow the algae. Shad will follow the zooplankton. White bass will follow the shad. I have had my best days when the wind has blown from the same direction for 3 days. Lots of baits work; small jigs, small plastics, lipless cranks, all the way to Arigs.

Reel maintenance
That depends on what they are, how many you have and how they are used and treated. I carry 20 setups, 10 bc and 10 spinning. I take care of my stuff and keep it clean. I relube the bc reels 3 or 4 times yearly and clean and grease yearly. The spinning get a yearly job.

How do you fish a Ned Rig 20 to 40 feet deep?
To answer your question, I fish 20+ a lot using 1/16 and 3/32 oz heads. I am a firm believer that the Ned should be fished behind me for best results. I put the boat in the depth that I want, make a diagonal cast and let the bait fall. If no strike I give a light twitch, lift the rod tip a bit and let it fall again. While doing this I have the trolling motor running as slow as it will go so that the bait is not only coming toward me but also swinging to the max depth that it will be fished. Then I can fish it parallel in that depth back to me and repeat the process until I find the correct depth.

You ever misplaced any tackle?
I looked for a Curado for two months. One day I noticed it mounted on a rod in the bottom of my spinning setup rod locker.

Tackle making out of control?
I think I am a step ahead of you guys. I have been going through stuff and selling or trading for the last couple of years. Another dozen or so and I think I will have it under control.?

Old high end rods versus newer
Been thinking about that same thing for a while. I would rather have more like what I have than try the new ones.

Mail Order vs Local Pharmacy for Rx
You bet there are so many price variations out there. My insurance company does a good job of tracking meds. If a cost skyrockets they notify me and recommend something else for my doctor and me to consider.

Ned head preference
They sure are expensive. I bought some from a guy in KS. They cost more than a dollar each. I found out about the Midwest Finesse jig mold. I bought it. Now I am only out the cost of the hooks.
