  1. I use 1/16 and 1/8 oz heads with 4/0 hooks. Ive caught smallies up to 4.5# on them. They are really good for pre spawn white bass also.
  2. All of the above.
  3. Spinner bait and buzz bait so far, probably jig and shaky later.
  4. Painful but still humorous.
  5. Nice. My dad played the mandolin. Me, I play a mean radio.
  6. Missouri also has a 3 hook limit. I make my own similar to a flash mob with willow blades and only 3 baits, either swim baits or flukes.
  7. I throw 1/2 oz spinner baits, either home made or War Eagle.
  8. I would love to but all of my corn fields have gone away. I use to have 8 nice fields that I could hunt. I hunted every day of the week. One by one the crops changed or the farmers sold out or switched to beef instead of dairy cattle. Now there is only one and so many guys hit it that it is shot out by the second day. So good luck to you. Get a limit.
  9. If you actually have trigger you can get cortisone/lidocaine injections. They sometimes do the trick for a few months then you need a repeat. When they stop working then the knife is the solution. I am rehabbing trigger surgery on three fingers on my right hand. I did the injections for 3 years before they quit working.
  10. Could you firm up the connection by wrapping it with teflon tape?
  11. Adjust it a little tighter on the spool knob. They aren’t all the same. I have 2 Curado DCs, one is by the book while the other needs more adjustment using the same line, same casting plug and matching rods.
  12. That is a Pitzen just doubling the line. I don't double the line. I do 5 wraps no matter the line type or size. The difference between the SD Jam and Pitzen is the loop at the bait, Jam go through Pitzen don’t go through.
  13. Around here bucktail jigs seem to work better than maribou. Some guys prefer craft hair jigs but I only like them for float n fly.
  14. If it were 1 and not one type, I’d want a hard floater so Zara Spook for me. If you mean one type then plastic worms.
  15. What do you mean selling without the pink slip? If you are talking selling without a title, don’t. You will open a big old can of worms.
  16. Seibert, Cadman, Smalljaw or Munkin can probably fix you up.
  17. I Trig them as well as use them as jig trailers.
  18. Jig Man replied to Caliyak's topic in Tacklemaking
I don’t, but I have reused old plastic. You have to have bunch so you don’t mix colors. Mixing colors will end up brown.
  19. I use a knot that is similar to the San Diego Jam. It is the Pitzen. It is easy and quick. I use it with all lines. I even tie it with gloves on in the winter.
  20. X2 bend the blade.
  21. Bite the bullet. Take it to a repair shop.
  22. So what’s it called?
  23. I haven’t even considered doing that. I take my boat in every fall have the fluids changed and the motor, boat and trailer inspected. I can’t even remember the last time I had a motor that wouldn’t start.
