You're stuck on an island, you can only take ONE lure with you to use to catch your food or and /have fun, what would be your choice?

If it were 1 and not one type, I’d want a hard floater so Zara Spook for me.  If you mean one type then plastic worms.

I agree with Jig Man. If it’s one only, it’d have to be something that lasts a long time. Maybe a Whopper Plopper. If it’s one type, it’d be an easy choice for me. A 5” Senko. 

Island with Lilly pads around it...... R2S Spittin Wa 2. Just cuz I love frogging more than anything else. If it was for food it would be a orange/yellow/green spinner bait.

A marabou crappie jig .

T rig 6" plastic worm. 

Something more durable than a soft plastic since there will likely be saltwater fish with teeth present.

Marabou jigs use to be supplied in USN survival kits .

If it's a deserted island, it better be something for saltwater.

But seriously, it would probably be a Trick Worm.

Well an island probably doesn’t have bass, and if i was going to rely on this one lure to feed me I’d have to go with a small inline spinner, a mepps or a rooster tail.

Thats my  thinking . Do we get a rod and reel to , or just some line ? A jig can always be tipped with a piece of worm , grub ...

I'd say some sort of dual willow blade spinnerbait. I wouldn't choose a soft plastic like a senko because I'm assuming you'd only have the 1 lure like the OP said and a soft plastic would be torn up and gone the first day.

I'm telling you there is a better movie to be made from these posts in this thread than Castaway was!!!! Bass fishing, wild jungle women!! It would be a hit.
