I'm telling you there is a better movie to be made from these posts in this thread than Castaway was!!!! Bass fishing, wild jungle women!! It would be a hit.

I'd name the bass Gary

If there are Wild jungle women, then I'm defiantly going to change my one and only bait.

Is the Bass Trans?

I'm going to hijack this thread .Shep-wrecked with  Ginger or Mary Anne ?

Jig with curly tail grub.

I’d take a lipless spinnersenkopopperfrogjigcrawploppercrank bait.

I would put bucktail jigs and other types of jigs in a survival kit.

I cannot assume my fishes gender in today's pc world but I did have to name her in honor of Mr Yamamoto.

I'll take Mrs Howell, the old broad is loaded and ain't half bad and if you look at my tackle collection you'll see I'm a material boy and need a few new Shimanos

If I got delirious after a while, I'd probably give noodling a shot ?

Wilson!!!!!

Mary Ann...it's always the quiet ones. :devil1:

Zman TRD. Things last forever and catch everything.

3.3 keitech in silver flash minnow on a jig head. Will catch bass walleye sauger trout perch crappie pike musky bowfin drum ect as well as any small to midsize saltwater fish. Good way to catch anything to use as cutbait for cats for a better meal too.

Well an island probably doesn’t have bass, and if i was going to rely on this one lure to feed me I’d have to go with a small inline spinner, a mepps or a rooster tail.

My answer too.

Stranded on an island?

I'd just take 1 Pitch Fork, so I'll always have live worms

I don't think playing it would catch fish :P

Seriously though, since this thread is pure fantasy, why the restrictions?  All kinds of things washed up on the shore of Gilligan's Island.  Have some imagination!

Not sure if you can take a bunch of 1 kind of lure or just 1 lure and that's it.  If you can take a decent amount, bucktails would be the way to go.  You can go anywhere in the world and catch fish on a bucktail.

If you can bring 1 and only 1 then theres no better option then a 3/4oz. kastmaster.  Just like the bucktail, kastmasters can be dragged, burned, hopped, jigged and just about anything else you can imagine.  You wouldn't have to worry about being destroyed by toothy fish.

Lures are for sport fishing for fun. If I had to feed myself I'd want nets and/or traps.

My island is out in my river and it's surrounded by small mouth bass. LOL

This is way too vague. Freshwater or saltwater? This scenario would almost certainly be salt water, and since I've lived around the great lakes all my life, I wouldn't have a clue what saltwater lure I'd want.

I'm just going to pretend we're talking about freshwater.

Now the question becomes, one lure period, or one type of lure that I somehow have an endless supply of?

One lure period: It would need to be something that lasts a long time and that I'd be least likely to lose. That means some kind of hard topwater. Probably a Whopper Plopper.

One type of lure with an endless supply: Easily the Ned Rig. I would rarely if ever get skunked and therefore always eat, and it catches many different species.
