  1. Here are some more. https://www.google.com/search?q=yamamoto+baby+bass+recipe&rlz=1C9BKJA_enUS855US855&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  2. There are lots of baby bass variations. When I make it I use a watermelon base. I add it a little at a time counting the drops, stirring and watching. I write down the #of drops. Then I add small amounts of flake (black, gold and sometimes green). Keep track of the amount of each color flake. When I have it the way I want it I make some baits to check it out. It is a lot easier to add colorant and flake than it is to add plastisol. I used to have this all written down but it has gotten misplaced. Sorry
  3. No I don’t. Even when people are having trouble launching or loading I don’t say a thing. I used to but too many times it just caused them to get angry. I think it is a hillbilly red neck ego thing.
  4. I keep mine in Flambeau boxes. They warp the regular boxes.
  5. Yep I the length limit at Stockton has been dropped to 12 inches so I was planning to keep a couple for a cornbread and beans dinner but that didn’t happen.
  6. I use living rubber a lot as well as silicone. I can’t tell much difference.
  7. Even though the weather is still “summer” 85°+ and the water is in the upper 70°s fishing has picked up. Yesterday I was able to get 17 bass with 5 nice keeper smallmouth and 2 keeper largemouth on shaky. None were deeper than 6’.
  8. Yesterday I took my neighbor fishing. One of the targets was spotted bass which typically hang around bridge piers. We were trying out some swim baits different from Keitech. We hit one bridge that only had largemouth and smallmouth on it. We fished for smallmouth until it got warm then made the 10 mile run to another bridge. It only had largemouth on it. I’ve been fishing these bridges for years and never have I seen the spots disappear. Anyone had this experience where you fish.
  9. The fish so far are right where they have been all summer (in the rocks from 3-10’ deep). The air is still in the mid 80s and the water is 75°-77°. And it is supposed to be the same for another week or so.
  10. I wear the hydro gloves from USG. They keep my hands warm enough most days. If they aren’t enough I put on beaded Jersey gloves. I only use the Pitzen knot which I can tie with gloves on.
  11. My home made cleaner is not for water spots. It is for glass, mirrors and my Hummunbird screens. It is distilled water and isopropyl alcohol.
  12. Everyone I know who has had that is very happy with the results.
  13. Do you have to rinse it off?
  14. I haven’t been anywhere to buy Ajays hot sauce. But after I rinsed the vinegar off good I put a fersh coat of Bow to Stern on the motor. I took it to Stockton lake and spent time in both major tributaries (Big Sac and Little Sac). When I got home there was a little spotting. I sprayed it with my homemade screen cleaner and dried it. The spots are gone. Thanks for the info.
  15. Lots of spring flooding is what I think this year.
  16. Green pumpkin with black and purple work great on Table Rock pre spawn. Post spawn they aren’t any better than green pumpkin with just black flake.
  17. Mike all of our lakes have been that way since mid spring. Even my clear water at Stockton only has a couple of feet of visibility. But that hasn’t kept the fish from biting.
  18. This is just one of the hundreds of rocky banks in one small lake which I fish. The main lake is called Table Rock for a good reason.
  19. Our lakes are very rocky with the dominant rock being limestone.
  20. I use a polymer sealant on everything.
  21. The straight vinegar was amazing. Do I need to rinse it off after I wipe it down?
  22. The surgeon inspected the three incisions, took out the stitches and gave me some exercises to do and said I could do anything I wanted to. That was Wednesday and I took Thursday off. Then I tried fishing on Friday. Things went pretty well but I stay too long. My hands were very stiff and sore so I am taking Saturday and Sunday off. I did manage to boat 15 bass in 4 hours. Things are looking up.
  23. I get a lot of hard water spots on my Mercury motor. I have used hydrochloric acid on it with great results but feel that it will ultimately damage the cowling. What else can I use?
  24. Both were top of the line with lots of bells and whistles. I use them a lot.
  25. I assume you have it on constant power. Most every trolling motor on the market will tork to the right it you lift your foot. Take it off constant or keep your foot on it.
