Here in Mid MO post spawn cold fronts rarely change the water surface temp more than a couple of degrees and then only for a short time. The post spawn fish usually react to this type of cold front by moving close to cover and not really changing their depth. For example, when we have flooded bushes and a cold front comes through you have to fish right in the middle of the bushes instead of on the edges.

I live in the heart of Nitro country. Those things don't hold up very well and depreciate very rapidly. I have seen them only a couple of years old and they looked terrible with loose things flopping on the boat and trailer. Stratos is owned by the Genmar corp which also makes Ranger and Champion. I'd go with the Stratos of the two. Another consideration is service. I have read a lot of night mare stories about Tracker Marine and the (lack of) speed and quality of their service.

You can but it isn't the best situation. Lots of guys who run 36V systems and don't have room for a 4 th battery crank off a deep cycle.

Fish have no reasoning power. If it moves they eat it. Give the jig and any kind of trailer a try.

If you don't want to drill holes below the water line, you can install a board like the ones provided with Lund boats. You put the td on the board and attach the board to the transom above the water line.

I use a modified San Diego Jam knot on braid to bait and have never had any slipage. On braid to fluro leader I use the Alberto's knot. Neither one on them require any kind of glue.

Aside from which might be faster or more powerful, the Opti is way more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Here is how I do it. I took an old set of TV rabbit ears and cut off a piece. I cut the head off a nail and put it in the tube.

The trailers that come with Trackers are the worse things I have ever seen. I have been around several different models and none of them load worth a hoot. You will have to install some side guides in order to get the thing to load properly. Then learn how deep to back the trailer and drive the boat on it.

I only use Shimano reels because they last and I know how to service them. I only use rods with a lifetime warranty; St. Croix Avids, Fenwick HMGs and Gloomis IMXs.

What ever type you buy, you can use the twist tie from a loaf of bread or buns to augment or replace the rubber bands.

I am not familiar with that rod but I know that the 2500 Symmetry is a very good reel. I think I have 10 or 12 Symmetrys in different sizes and some of them have been used for 10 years and have had no problems. I don't know about that particular rod but I do pair my 2500 reels with 6'6" MF rods. I have 3 set up like that in the boat right now.

I have IMX and GL3 rods and there is a lot of difference in them. The GL3s were the first ones I bought and since have only bought IMX. I had an IMX SJR 843 and got rid of it. It was way to stiff for my needs. I traded it for an IMX SJR 782. I fish 1/4 oz jigs and tubes on it and like it much better than the 843.

I don't know about other brands but the Lowrance pucks and skimmers can be mounted either way.

I night fish 7 months out of the year. I use a lot of jigs, tubes, craws and spinnerbaits. There is usually a decent bite from dusk to about 2 am. By then either I am tired or the fish are tired of me.

I like a good stiff breeze out of the same direction for 3 days in a row. That lines up the food chain.

For starters, the first time I fished in the rain, my ignition switch shorted out. It turned out to be a cheap unit, not the one made for the motor. It cost me $120 for a new one. The cheap way below par tmotor was not near enough to use in any wind or current. The trailer was the hardest to load thing I have ever seen. It had an $88 depth finder that was no better than a string and a rock. ETC ETC...... One of the happiest days of my life was trading it in for a Lowe.

I assume that you are talking about the power cable. All you need to do is run a couple of wires from the battery to the power supply wires for the unit and hook them up. Be sure to put the inline fuse on the + wire. There are lots of transducer "protectors" on the market which should help with the weed problem on the tmotor. Other than that if your boat is metal you will have to look around for a transducer that works inside of metal boats or you could mount it on a board which can be clamped to the back of your boat with c clamps.

I fish tubes a lot. I mainly fish smoke/melon pepper/pumpkin seed/black neon. I Trig them, I fish them with a jig insert and weed guard and sometimes I fish them with a bell sinker inside the tube. The bell sinker inside is the most snag free method but is also the one that loses the most fish. The jig insert is the most snagging but hooks the most fish. The jig insert is the one I fish most of the time.
