When I used pork, I kept a small pen knife open on the front deck to make the slit bigger before I put it on a jig or spinnerbait.

Most of my fishing is done on the lower ends of lakes. I go there to avoid the crowds as most guys around here like to run the rivers. The lower ends are very clear. I don't even think about it I just fish. Down sizing to me is using a 3" trailer on a 1/2 oz jig. I use 10-14 # mono. The last time I fished with a guy who was downsizing he had 1 keeper and some dinks while my big baits and heavier line produced 9 keepers. I think the clear water thing is mostly mental.

It has been common practice around here for shops to get rid of J/E vro stuff from 1990 on to the end of OMC. Many of the engines blew up because of no oil. Guys just mix them and go on.

It depends on the location and amount of scratches. I got a bunch in the sides of my Champion. It took four hours with 600 grit wet dry paper and 2 hours with rubbing compound and a buffer to get them to go away. Then another hour with polishing compound and wax to finish off the job. It was a pain but the shop wanted $300-$500 to do it.

How long a battery needs to be charged depends on how hard it was used. It should always be charged within 24 hours after it has been used. You probably should get a hydrometer from Wal-Mart or an auto parts store so you can check the specific gravity of each cell. They should be around 12.5 v when fully charged.

When I am at home, I never get to fish alone. There is always someone who I need to take or who invites me to go. However, when I am camping I get to fish alone a lot since most of my friends don't have campers. I camp somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 days per year, mostly on lakes. So over half of my fishing is by myself. I am an old fart and don't tournament fish any more. I fish from a Champion 206 with a 225 Optimax on it. I fish lakes from 25000 to 60000 acres.

Also check to see if the prop shaft is bent.

I don't have that brand but do have a few rods. My 7' MH rods are good for anything up to 1/2 oz be it jigs, spinnerbaits, tubes, etc. When I hit 1/2 and over my H is all I use. Think about your stuff and the way you fish and then decide.

Maybe it was in an agitated state. Here in Mo if you catch a smallie that reaction strikes it is a light brown but if you hit an area where they are feeding they are all chocolate and hit the bait like Gang Busters.

The owner may only be looking for something close to market value while the dealership has jacked up the price to make more money for themselves. Normally, the consignment game is played where the boat owner decides the minimum he will take for the boat plus pay a fee (usually a few hundred dollars) to the dealer. The dealer is then free to ask anything he chooses for the boat and pockets the fee plus all above the agreed on price with the owner.

This takes a little extrapolation so bear with me. The 04 unit is listed by NADA with a 50 hp and average retail is $7,340. When you look up a 50 it is valued at $2,400. A 75 is $3,190 so it is worth $790 more than the 50. Add the $790 to the $7,340 and you have an average retail value of $8,130 which seems to me to be about $3,455 over priced. That takes into consideration standard electronics, trolling motor and batteries. This unit would have to be a real cherry to interest me as over priced as it is.

That sounds to me like overkill on the tires. Do you have a heavy boat with 2 or 3 axles? As far as tire pressure goes my tire guy says to always keep them at the rated pressure anything less does not let the sidewalls stand up as they were designed to.

I like skillet take mine off the top right out of the box. I stick my line out the flap, close the flap and use the friction of the spool turning inside the box to keep the line tight. The main culprit in line twist is the reel itself and the quality of its roller bearing.

I make my molds out of BONDO. PM GMAN, I am pretty sure he has made some plaster molds.

My wife's uncle built a 7 acre lake. He stocked it but refused to allow any cover to be put in because he wanted to be able to swim and dive without obstruction and he mowed all around it so he wouldn't even fall a tree in the water. It never has been any good unless one wants to catch blue gill. There has only ever been 1 decent fish caught from it in over 30 years.

My favorite spinnerbait trailer is a very sharp 4/0 hook.

Since I don't know about your tow vehicle, I will just tell you what I do. I fish a lot by my self. I launch a 21' boat. I have a reel with 140 of line on it. I back the boat into the water and if there is a courtesy dock I tie it off and float the boat. If there is no courtesy dock I float it off and let out about 1/2 of the line. I unreel the rest of the line up the ramp. That gives me time to park the truck before the boat can float away or onto the ramp. When I load the boat, I drive it on to the trailer. Depending on the depth of the ramp, I can usually step out of the boat onto the ramp and drive it away. On shallow ramps I carry a pair of knee high rubber boots in the boat. When necessary, I put them on and slip over the bow and walk to the truck and drive out.

Depends on the time of the year and the depth of the water. Sometimes a spinnerbait or buzz bait fished parallel. At other times a crankbait fished parallel. Last but not least, a jig or tube dropped from one level to the next.

I suggest you put a little more with that $50 and get a Shimano Symmetry. It has a true ball bearing in the roller assembly and keeps that line from twisting like it does with cheaper reels.
