  1. I had lock and haul on my Champion with 225 Merc. It was pulled all over for 14 years with no problems. I have my wedge on my 250 Verago. It’s been going for 7 years with no issues.
  2. I’ve been to tournament weigh ins in Texas where the event was held in a town in an arena. The boats were pulled in and stopped at the weigh in station to unload the fish. Then they pulled forward to allow the next boat to do the same. It took forever. On a side note, my old boss provided a pontoon release boat for a regional series. He was short handed one weekend and borrowed one of my salesmen to help him. The guy came in to work the next week with horror stories about how many dead fish they had.
  3. You can bet they are.
  4. The issue had to do with charging sequence lights. Both the distributor and MK said that battery would be fine on the agm setting. I am waiting for the new charger just to be on the safe side.
  5. I just had a lithium battery installed for a house battery to run some electronics. The battery company said use a 10 amp charger. I have a MK single 10 amp Precision. It is working on the agm setting but when monitored by the electronic guy he thought it wasn’t functioning 100% so he called MK. They recommended getting a new charger.
  6. How far is the weigh in Tulsa from the lake? It looks like quite a ways to be hauling fish around in a live well.
  7. Thanks for the heads up. When they cleared out my favorite fluorocarbon I drove to 5 different ones and cleaned them out.
  8. I’m not too particular as long as the leader is longer than the rod.
  9. Beetle spins and rooster tails
  10. I am using 15# braid with 8# fluorocarbon leader. It’s working fine but I don’t tie it in the boat.
  11. I have used the Pitzen for over 20 years. One of my friends uses the palomar. I can tie the Pitzen and make a cast or two while he is tying his knot. On line to line I have settled on the FG. It has never broken at the knot and all of the others have.
  12. The only ones I use are the elaztech worms and I use them year round.
  13. I have one or two of them. They were made by the original owner of Ark Rods in Harrison AR. I have no idea how you can get your hands on them.
  14. I’ve been keeping one for years, with data similar to Tackleholic. I keep mine in Excel.
  15. Okay now I am ready for a 3peat. I just hope they can hang on to the key players.
  16. Nope not me. Everyday is a new adventure and I can’t wait to see what happens. I’ve never looked back on an event or job, but I am not one who seeks relationships with others.
  17. Depends on the time of year. Pre spawn lmb. Post spawn smb
  18. That boundary is probably going to limit you to a 17’ boat with a swing away tongue with the motor down. If you can park it diagonally you can gain some more room.
  19. When I used a lot of screw locks, I heated a small drill bit to burn the hole. I did several in advance in the garage so they’d be ready any time.
  20. Mine is built in 55 gallons, thus 36 volt trolling motor with 3 strong batteries.
  21. I had mine professionally done last year. The shop used treated lumber and covered them with the same carpet that is in my boat.
  22. Hooked together they often cause interference.
  23. Someone supposedly bought the stuff from Bo’s but it hasn’t returned to the market yet.
