  1. It depends on what you want to do. You can use them for swim baits, tubes, Ned rigs, shaky, and on and on.
  2. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I have a Nitro Z20 that weighs about 4500# and my wife tows it with her Jeep Cherokee Trail hawk. Towing isn’t the big deal. Stopping is.
  3. Spinnerbait
  4. I always go for an Elaztech worm rigged weedless on a shaky head jig.
  5. Yes you can put leaders on your braid. I do that on spinning reels. On bait casters I use straight fluoro except for top water which is straight braid. I only tie one knot for the bait, Pitzen. The best braid to leader that I have found is the fg knot. I like the leaders to be longer than my rod..
  6. Here is where I keep what is not in the boat.
  7. Tackle bag devoted to that stuff an line spooler.
  8. I’ve been using gate cutters. I just don’t remember it happening before. I thought someone might have a solution.
  9. With the harder lead you shouldn’t have wobbly heads. I quit using soft lead years ago because spinner baits wouldn’t hold up with it. I’ll never live long enough to run out. One guy gave me 74# of printers lead.
  10. I didn’t know that those were available. I’ve had fair luck fixing torn Keitechs with Mendit.
  11. My problem is lead running up the hook shank. The Victory hook seems to be a little bit slim to fill the cavity. My heads are not loose as I pour with lead containing antimony. It hard and the jigs come out solid. I generally pour at 750°F and thought it might be too hot so I dropped it to 700°F. It helped a little but didn’t fix it completely. I can’t lower the temperature any more or it won’t pour. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and if so what they did. I haven’t used this mold for several months and don’t remember this happening before.
  12. If anyone has it please let me know. I recently encountered a problem and would like to ask for some advice.
  13. That’s a long time for gas to be setting around. If it were me I’d be calling or web searching for ways to recycle or dispose of it.
  14. I throw 1oz jigs on 12# fluorocarbon with no issues. Learn the Pitzen knot. It works for all types and sizes of line.
  15. White…anytime any place Firecracker…clear water sunny Bleeding Shad…cloudy to stained water Golden Shiner…cloudy day Chartreuse…anytime any place
  16. Cold is not my friend. My best temp is 76°F.
  17. Crick that is a pretty thorough list. I’ll get my travel guide (wife) looking them up.
  18. Check your electronics amp draw then go from there. Mine draw 2.5 amps per hour.
  19. I’m not sure that I fit your definition, but paying attention is an absolute. For example a few trips ago we couldn’t find anything. After 5 hours I went through what all we had fished. Pretty much all that was left was a long gravel runoff next to a channel. I pulled up to one that had produced in the past and it was full of bass. We went from nothing to 39 in an hour and a half.
  20. Who says a Keitech is a bass only bait?
  21. I mostly fish football jigs that I make myself, however, I have become a fan of Jewell’s Pee Wee jigs with a 4” twin tail grub trailer. Bass Whacker had been the best but Hail Mary is also good. https://jewelbait.com/shop/details/jigs/pee-wee-football-jig-skirted
  22. We catch several large crappie on Keitech 2.8 swim baits while bass fishing in April and May. We are fishing them on Dirty Jigs 1/8 oz guppy heads.
  23. I have never had one of his jig heads but a while ago my buddy and I ordered several of everything that they make in sliders. I still have some that I haven’t used yet. They make great baits or white bass and hybrids.
