  1. I have a rod similar to that which was made by the original Ark Rod folks. I have a 5:1 Curado on it and use it solely for Arigs.
  2. I keep them in the cups in a closet in the garage. Some have been in the cups for over 10 years.
  3. Crank baits almost never.
  4. Surprise bait was Keitech swing impact fat. Regular was jigs and Elaztech worms.
  5. I have that same bag. I use it when I go in a friend’s boat. It holds a ton of stuff.
  6. It depends on the bait that I have tied on and the depth. If it’s a hangumup bait it stays outside. If it’s a jig or worm I throw it where you wouldn’t send your bird dog.
  7. I count how long each jig is over the heat gun. Different sizes require different times.
  8. Hey. I hope it works for you. I’ve been powder painting for over 20 years and have tried a lot of different techniques for heating. For a while I even heated them in the toaster oven but could only paint a few before they cooled. Right now my heat gun is doing fine.
  9. What regions are having the red lips. I don’t ever remember seeing that here in Missouri or Northern Arkansas?
  10. I’m using a Pee Wee jig that has similar configuration. A Yamamoto 4 inch twin tail and very small beaver are what’s working best for me.
  11. I’d think covering with epoxy then sprinkle on the glitter while wet. Then maybe a coat of Sally Hansen’s hard as nails.
  12. I recommend a custom. That way you can have it built to your exact specifications.
  13. 69 so far 2 times for crappie 1 time for white bass
  14. X2 We us them on bare jigs all the time. They are great for smallmouth and spots around here.
  15. If I didn’t keep my stuff in labeled boxes I would never be able to find anything.
  16. Most of today’s plastic baits are basically made from some pvc compound and so are the storage boxes. They store safely in the boxes except those made of Elaztech. Elaztech baits can destroy pvc boxes and baits.
  17. Same here. I have a Nitro Z20.
  18. Have you tried using vice grips? I’ve used them to hold hooks and put the grips in a bench vise. Not the best but functional for a few jigs.
  19. We probably have seen each other on the water. I am there once or twice every week.
  20. I am using 60# surflon in mine. I mold them with 19 ga wire in them then pull it after the powder paint is cured and glue in the surflon. It working fine.
  21. I bought some jigs and used my dial calipers to get measurements and compared them to the measurements listed by Barlow’s. The Mustad was the closest. I’m guessing they have the hooks custom made. I can’t find 7/16 and 5/16 molds so I am modifying 1/2 and 3/8 oz football jigs. What are you using for weedguard?
  22. I’m doing the same thing. Pee Wee uses a 2/0 hook instead of a #2. It is very similar to the Mustad 32500BN sickle hook. I’m making my version of bass whacker and hail Mary. There’s are in the bottom row and mine are in the top row.
  23. I didn’t get to try it last fall because Nitro had my boat in the factory. So I don’t know about last fall but up until then it was a good fall and winter bait. I will keep it tied on and use it sparingly until I see if it gets to working. How far down the James do you live? I normally stay above Butter Milk Springs.
  24. Today I used jigs shaky and Ned. No jig fish at all, no morning Ned fish, 17 shaky fish with Ned bites in the mid day. 3 Ned fish so that’s a start.
  25. Walleye, crappie or white bass so I could eat them.
