Trying to find the best suitable braid for a 2000 size reel
If you are fishing highland reservoirs 15 is my minimum recommendation. Good luck.

Options?
That is a pretty small number of acres for more than 1 or 2 hunters.

Trying to find the best suitable braid for a 2000 size reel
Heavy cover and sharp boulders is the nature of TABLE ROCK LAKE. 15# was a step for me as I generally use 30-50# but was wanting more distance with those small Keitech fat impact swimbaits. 10 is a bait losing waste of time where I fish. This is a typical bank.

Trying to find the best suitable braid for a 2000 size reel
I use the 12# for swim baits from 2.8 to 4# on heads 1/8 to 3/8 oz. We catch lmb, smb, spots, stripers and walleye on them so I want strength in the braid and leaders. For me 10# braid is crappie line.

Road To The Superbowl 2024
Well my Chiefs pulled off a butt ugly victory over the Jets. They looked good about 25% of the game. The rest of the game was just plain awful.

Trying to find the best suitable braid for a 2000 size reel
I went through the same thinking a while back. I settled on 15# braid. I use it with 8, 10, and 12# fluorocarbon leaders. I have it on a variety of rods with 1000, 2000, and 2500 sized reels. It has worked flawlessly for a year.

Staying warm
Thanks but I’m interested in heated vest info only.

Staying warm
Cold weather is just around the corner. One of my fishing buddies likes to go any time it is above 32°. I am on a couple of blood thinners and have trouble staying warm. I have been researching heated vests and am overwhelmed with too much info. I was in a Sheels in CO last week and was looking at them but they only had women’s sizes. Do any of you guys have experience with heated vests?

Spinnerbait, or A-Rig for Fall
For me the Arig has not been a great fall bait, however, the spinner bait has. I don’t throw them until mid winter.

My Dermatologist is bumming me out.
I hear you. I never considered any kind of covering. My arms and legs look like old saddle leather. I have purchased long sleeved fishing shirts and pants. I wear them no matter how hot it gets. I hope I have done it in time.

Line On A Baitcaster Question
I have 1 bc setup for that kind of fishing. I’ve tried several lines and have found that Yozuri hybrid 6# test works very well for me. It handles 3/32 Neds and heavier. I couldn’t go that light even with 8# mono.

Why do people leave their lures just hanging there when not in use?
I leave mine at the end of the rod. They aren’t hanging over the side because my front deck is big enough for 7.5’ rods to lay down flat.

What line for jigs and Texas rigs?

I’ve had that happen in a guy’s boat. Now I use velcro.

Cleanliness
My boat, truck and house. I wash my boat after every trip. I wet vac the carpet monthly. My truck gets washed and waxed at least weekly. My wife does the inside of the house.

Marabou Jigs for Smallies
When I fish them (1/16 to 1/8) it is sort of a glide and twitch keeping it off the bottom. Heavier it is hopping along the bottom.

You might gently apply a little heat to see if it reactivates.

Muscle Cramps
I had to get some mustard at 02:30 this morning. I’ve tried pickle juice. It evidently isn’t strong enough because it doesn’t work for me.

Muscle Cramps
I sometimes wake with them. A tea spoon of yellow mustard tricks my brain and within a few minutes they are gone.

Jigs on braid- fluoro leader or no?
It depends on the color of the braid, your water clarity and time of year. I can get by with no leader now because our water is dingy. That’s not the case in cold, clear, winter water.
