  1. I’d only be interested in the MK since I have a one boat network but I have too much invested in my Ulterra to be making any changes right now.
  2. Get non deductible replacement theft coverage on your boat and forget about it.
  3. I wouldn’t buy those kinds of items from any place that is farther away than I would drive. Too many things can go wrong and need repairs. My Ulterra has been back to the shop 3 times. I get repairs and quick turn around.
  4. I do that. It doesn’t seem to help much. I tried one at the end of the day as I already had 6 setups rigged. I only caught 2 on it but it is still intact. I’ll know more after the holiday weekend when I get to go back.
  5. I have never fished tidal water but I do fish the upper James River on Table Rock Lake in Missouri. The visibility is less than 2’. Typically a few early ones on a spinnerbait then shaky for most of the day.
  6. Yesterday up the James River on Table Rock shad were everywhere and only gar seemed to be feeding on them. The bass were close to the bank in 2-5 fow. There are miles of the river with millions of threadfin shad.
  7. I’ve used both. I never noticed a difference in knot strength. I have noticed a difference in fish caught. Fluorocarbon way out performs mono in our Missouri waters.
  8. Ok thanks. We went through a bunch bass fishing today. I’ll get some ready for tomorrow.
  9. If you fished where I do you would see the need to be able to sharpen hooks. I carry an Eze Lap in the front of the boat all the time. I only sharpen single hooks not trebles.
  10. So is the cut behind the hook bend, in front of it or is the bend in the middle?
  11. I’ve used a lot of different types of jigs. The football is my favorite for most everything except swim and bladed jigs.
  12. That would be great. I’m having a little comprehension problem.
  13. You wouldn’t happen to have pics of this process would you?
  14. If it is just a seal, they are cheap and not hard to replace. You will need to clean and repack the bearings.
  15. Mendit works for some Keitech repairs.
  16. I’m not aware of any other than Humminbird that has follow the contour. If you go that route be sure to get the proper trolling motor. I believe you may need Ipilot link with blue tooth.
  17. I have Calhoun medium and a mold like the fat impact and easy shiner. I’ve stopped using them because the Keitech is way more effective than they are.
  18. Why medium hard? Won’t that make them stiff?
  19. Spray it with KVD line conditioner. I keep a bottle in the boat.
  20. It’s the time and trouble that I would like to avoid if possible.
  21. I have made my own swim baits for years but a few good butt waxings from a friend using Keitechs has swung me over. They are definitely fish catchers. My issue with them is the way they tear up with just about every fish and the time it takes to retie or rerig. What are you guys using that is a good producer and holds up better.
  22. I have similar setups. They all have 12# fluorocarbon line on them.
  23. I’m betting that your problem is how you cast and close the bail not how you spool the line.
