  1. They can have two different types of transducers. If it has the U2 universal sonar it will be 2d and should work with most brands of sonar units. The other type is a Humminbird with 2d and down scan.
  2. My swing away tongue on my Nitro trailer is 32” from the end to the hinge. I’m sure the differ by boat length. If your dealer doesn’t have the answer, go to the G3 website and find out how to contact them and ask your question.
  3. Have you paid attention to the grocery bill. We are spending $200 a week for 2 of us and we have our own beef.
  4. They are fun on top water in the summer but the nearest is over 100 miles away so I don’t go often.
  5. My wife listens to quiet music on her phone when in the boat.
  6. I try to pick everything apart when fishing Ned, jig or shaky. It also lets me move the boat without disabling spot lock.
  7. X2 listen to this guy because he knows what he’s talking about.
  8. Check to see if you have spot lock jog capability. It takes spot lock to a new level.
  9. Wow. Sorry but I have no idea. I have at least 20 Shimano spinning reels, have switched the handles and never encountered that situation. Have you called Shimano?
  10. I use the Pitzen knot for mono, fluorocarbon, and braid. I have never had a knot problem. I don’t even know how to tie a double Pitzen.
  11. I’ve been using a Bac Rac for years. Mine only holds 4 rods but they are out of the way.
  12. I don’t know what you are fishing. I make my own tube heads. I use 1/8 oz for depths to 15’, 1/4 for up to 30’ and 3/8 when I want to go really deep. All of mine have a 4/0 hook.
  13. The 50s have been hot down here lately.
  14. Today’s electronics draw a lot of juice. I experienced the same problem that you described when I had Lowrance units. I now have Humminbird units and the problem did not go away. I tried several different cranking batteries and it still existed. I spent several hundred dollars at boat shops trying to get to the bottom of this issue. I wound up getting a house battery for the electronics. It has been working fine for three years.
  15. A few years ago I bought this rod from the original owners of Ark Rods. I made it my shaky rod and had good success with it. Two years ago the guy who does my rod repair and alterations talked me into letting him build me a custom rod. I like it so much better than the Ark Rod that I have nearly quit using it. Recently a local guy offered a special on custom rods so I am having him build me an identical one. It is almost finished so I should have 2 great shaky rods and one that needs some work. I used it the other day cranking and it was okay, however, I don’t crank a lot. My question for those of you who have similar rods how are you using them?
  16. If it were me I would call White River Marine and ask them.
  17. If room is a factor, AGMs don’t have to be mounted in the traditional way.
  18. 12-15# fluorocarbon for me depending on cover
  19. When I was thinking about one what I found out was like stated they are best on V hulled boats. Even the salesman said I wouldn’t be happy with on on my Z20 trailer. That being said, I never hook up the bow strap until I am in the parking lot. I also unhook it in the parking lot. I’ve never had a boat slip on the trailer, coming or going.
  20. I assume that Navionics is the card in question. You should be able to go to the web site for the type of sd card that you want. You should be able to find the correct region and get a lake list to look at.
  21. I use small hooks when fishing grubs and Ned. I’ve caught several over 5# and had no problems. I set the hook like every fish is going to be a good one with a tough jaw.
  22. Yes it is. I live about 10 miles from there. I go there a lot even though I don’t buy much. I mostly buy stuff at the catalog outlet which is next door. They have super close outs on boots, shoes, and clothing. I bought 4 St. Croix Avid rods ( new, not refurbished ) for $80 each once and a $150 pair of boots for $36.
  23. It is not fun. I’ve been in three of them.
  24. Good for you. Was it your buddy’s or yours.
