  1. My boat came with two helix 10 G4’s in 2023. I just bought another helix 10 G4 for a great price. As far as FFS I’ll stick with my Garmin Lvs34. If I have to upgrade my hummingbird units I’ll probably switch everything to garmin .
  2. I would think med/lt or medium is what you want for those weights. i use a medium but not solid tip and I usually throw 1/4 - 3/8 with a 4” minnow bait.
  3. These rods are mainly for jig head minnow applications. If you’re using FFS shaking minnow baits it would depend on the weight of the jig head you use.
  4. I’m using a 50ah ionic with a 10a noco charger this is for my black box and 1222. I might add a helix 10 MDI to it this coming season.
  5. Good choice garmin and lvs34 is awesome I really like the blue pallet.
  6. I would buy one of the garmin combos bass pro has on sale for Black Friday. My entire boat is Humminbirds except my FFS that’s a garmin unit.
  7. I don’t have a expride my favorite jerkbait rod is a cheap 7’ medium action crankin stick from bass pro. And I’ve tried a lot of rods for jerkbaits.
  8. I went with Raptors for a few reasons first I have all Humminbird electronics except my livescope that is garmin.and minnkota trolling motor one boat network. second the Raptors just seem much more stable and solid. And I went with the 10 footers because I found a lot of my grass fishing areas I fish are about 6-7 feet deep. I’ll post a picture when I get the boat back from my dealer in a few weeks.
  9. I would punch it if your not getting anything on top.
  10. I bit the bullet and ordered a set of 10ft Raptors for my boat. Now I get to look at it all winter in the garage.definitely looking forward for next year already.
  11. The above mentioned brands are great But don’t over look the Yum flash mob that bait just flat out works.
  12. Where are you in wisconsin?
  13. Buy whatever you like don’t settle for anything less you will regret it. I’ve done that I bought a Lund impact for family reasons when I really wanted a bass boat . Guess what my family went out in the boat about 5 times in 7 years. I finally sold the Lund in 2020 and in 2023 I bought a brand new Phoenix bass boat I couldn’t be happier with it and I fish with my son he’s 14 years old so not super little but the kids will grow up and you’ll still have that boat. So bottom line I say buy exactly what you want the first go around and be happy.
  14. It really depends jerkbaits are one of my most used bait that same bait you we’re using in a different color could have caught 20 fish. When it comes to jerkbait fishing I change colors and brands until there eating it good. I won’t throw the same bait more then 15 minutes without a bite if I’m around fish.
  15. Phoenix 518 is a nice little bass boat.
  16. Not looking for fish at 50 mph mostly looking for structure like weeds on sand flats or rock in grass areas. Little humps and ditches there’s all kinds of things to find if you look I’d be extremely happy with great returns at 30 mph.
  17. I’ve reset factory default on the Humminbird with the same results. My next move is to try to remove the transducer and clean everything and re epoxy it.
  18. How fast can you get high speed sonar reading’s with a shoot through transducer? i think I have something going on with mine I can only get my 2d returns up to about 20 mph. This is a in hull transducer in a Phoenix bass boat. When the boat was new last year I can remember the 2d sonar working a couple times up to about 50 mph. I checked to see if it came loose but it seems solid. Maybe it just needs to be re set in a different place?
  19. Suzuki needs to get onboard with Phoenix boats. I would have ordered my boat with a Suzuki but it wasn’t a option from Phoenix or my dealer.
  20. It’s definitely on my to do’s list next time I’m in south Florida.
  21. I really want to go down there and fish for them.
  22. Try harder for what what if funny I put 3M film on the black panels and on my grey PAINTED Skeg on my lower unit to prevent scratches in the GREY paint on the skeg if I run in to shallow of water. Do you need a picture to comprehend what I’m saying??
  23. I also added a bunch of 3M protective clear film to my lower unit to protect the paint.
