Rod/reel combo for Strolling
I’ve been using a Daiwa KAGE 7’ med with a Daiwa Tatula 3000 CHX Spinning reel. I mostly use 1/8. -3/8 jig heads on 3-5” baits. It works great for this.

"The Leash" Outboard Motor Tether
I’d call precision sonar and let them know you were duped and maybe they could get you one faster. I ordered direct from them when I got mine.

"The Leash" Outboard Motor Tether
That’s completely different than how it mounts to my 200 Pro Xs 4 stroke. My install was extremely easy and straight forward.

"The Leash" Outboard Motor Tether
No I’m not sure on that speed at all that’s what I’m normally running 50-60+. Only you can’t decide if you need it or not I hope I never have to find out what that threshold is.

"The Leash" Outboard Motor Tether
Just Google outboard motor flips into boat. I will never own a boat without a leash. It’s cheap when you consider what could happen without it. If your running 60+ mph and hit a log or something under the surface the kinetic energy is more than enough to flip a big outboard in the boat.

"The Leash" Outboard Motor Tether
I have one I installed it myself it was very straight forward. I have a 10” manual jackplate. I can’t comment on wearing the finish on the motor I put a bunch of clear 3M protective tape on my motor where it rubs.

I'm so split between the Shimano Stradic FL and Shimano Vanford F
Your rod has more to do with distance then the actual reel.

How does your boat handle?
I have a 2023 Phoenix 819 pro It is very precise with the trolling motor down. I can keep the boat straight in the wind and stay on my spot . Keep the nose pointing into the wind it tracks straight if I let off the trolling motor and it doesn’t kick around unless I have my ultrex on high. My last boat was a aluminum Lund impact 1875 and it he boat control was horrible in wind due to the high sides and weight.

UPGRADING SOON…. Need your opinions
Out of those 3 I would choose triton it should be 100 % composite. 2nd would be skeeter and a older nitro would not be a option for me at all.

Do you have rules in your boat?
3 rules 1 always wear life vest when running 2 no smoking 3 no alcohol.

Red hooks on t-rigs???

Mount Rushmore of Bass fishing.
There’s only one for me my grandfather. He didn’t even fish he would sit there for hours and hours while I fished. I miss that Man so much everyday.

Used well made bass boats recommendations
Very nice congratulations on the new boat.

props
To be honest I would just keep the aluminum prop you have on it. A stainless prop is going to be expensive for the little bit of speed plus if you hit something with the aluminum prop it’s more likely to just break the prop and not damage the prop shaft. Like others have said take some weight out. Or rearrange the weight you have.

Boat Nearly Collides With Kayak.....
I think kayaks should have a big orange flag a few feet high off the back if they are on the main lake or not in no wake zones.

Trolling Batteries
My last boat had interstate smrr-29 batteries they we’re still good after 6 years. My new boat has Dekas’s group 31 I’m hoping to get at least 5 years out of them.

Best slower loading jerkbait rod for smallies. casting or spinning. 6'10" to 7'. $200 or below.
I do a lot of smallmouth jerk bait fishing and I’ve tried a lot of rods and for me the 7’ m bps crankin stick is money. It has a nice snappy tip with a good bend to keep them pinned I also use the 7’ mh crankin stuck for the deep jerkbaits. It’s worth a look.
