  1. I see now, those are just key numbers.
  2. Late but mine is jdm. But I’d be curious to know if all those bearings makes a difference. https://www.plat.co.jp/parts/DAIWA-BAITCAST/TATULA/TATULA-TW-80HL-00630114.pdf
  3. And that's the beauty of the Ned, it catches what's there. The Ned is just as likely to catch a big girl as any other bait if you put it in front of her, probably more so, but there are many times more little to average size fish than really big ones, so naturally the ratio of little to big fish is going to be high.
  4. Cool against the odds story about winning the $100,000 big bass bash prize on lake of the ozarks. https://www.lakeexpo.com/boating/fishing_hunting/big-bass-bash-winner-braves-hailstorms-and-a-nearly-sunken-boat-to-win-100-000/article_d39fa050-dd65-11ed-9d19-d721d7affdf8.html#1
  5. I’d check out the Keitech easy shiner, it has a very thin tail section and smaller boot than any 5 incher I’ve seen or used, no 6in though, jumps from 5 to 7”.
  6. Imbouta get me a big un flippin’ ma texas rigged weightless wurm on my heavy action rod up under that structure, lets goooooo!
  7. That’s pretty much what I do, tatula swimbait rod for trebled and open single hook lures, then I use a heavy power fast action rod for weedless rigged lures.
  8. I wouldn’t call it slim but it’s balance creates the illusion of lightness. As an aside, beast rigged and treble hooked lures require different rod actions for me.
  9. TTU731HRB-SB A sleeper in the tatula lineup.
  10. Keitech model 1 v2, sk rage menace. Got a few of them molixs too, good jigs.
  11. Have you considered med-light or bfs? I recently picked up a 7ft kistler medium-light (1/8-3/8oz) and paired it up with the shimano slx bfs, had a hoot over the weekend catching mayan cichlids on ned rigs and small lures, I feel like I just opened up a whole new alternate dimension of fishing.
  12. Sweet, that is awesome! As a semi-techy years long iphone user I had no clue this was a feature.
  13. I get half the boat to myself? Heck yeah! Maybe I'm odd but I prefer fishing out of the back for the pure challenge of catching fish others missed. There are times this backfires though, then it's time for full contact fishing, elbows out! ?
  14. You now have a wall of information on how to manage a wall of information lol. If I was you I’d hire a guide to teach you a couple of the techniques you want to learn, nothing beats learning from someone who really knows what they’re doing.
  15. Got my first kistler on the way, picked up a 7'med-lite helium casting, the $249 sale got me. Got a shimano slx bfs reel sitting here waiting on it, hope the hype is real!
  16. Keitech got too much kick for you? Believe it or not they’re no match for scissors ? I’d rather start out with too much kick and adjust it down. This is a little mod I do to the tail of almost every one.
  17. The clinch knot is about 60% but many people swear by it. The trilene knot is solid and also used by Oliver Ngy. I used it right up until I learned this one…
  18. I’ve had several great experiences with Mark. I was recommended him through an older friend, an old school tournament musky fisherman who has work done there for decades before and after the son Mark took over in recent years.
  19. Knots are like religion, you don't need the best one, you need the most "convenient" one ? That said... fg at home, crazy alberto on the water.
  20. Where's the HYPER! No hyper, no bueno.
  21. It very well could’ve just been they were just in a nipping mood that day. I’ve found a loose grip and a high rod position on the retrieve helps when it comes to braided line, stiffer rods, tentative fish, or all of the above. On the take feed it to them a little by slowly lowering the rod position and keeping semi-slack line tension, after a short pause reel down and set the hook when you feel the weight of the fish. If that doesn’t work, I’d switch tactics.
  22. Copoly on all casting outfits, they’re all multipurpose and I want the option to use topwater on all of them, a mix of yo-zuri hybrid and sufix advance. YGK g-soul braid (hi-vis) to yz hybrid leader for spinning
  23. Zoom z hawg, vmc tokyo rig (it’s really a jika the way I set it up), vmc tungsten cylinder weight. I find it incredibly resistant to snagging and picking up weeds.
