Sunglass lens color...
I actually buy polarized glasses in volume, 4 pack for $15. Lol Too hard on glasses to justify Maui Jim's. Prefer amber.

Our memories using lures
Oboy, completely understand. Having children myself I can only imagine that level of devastation. You likely posted this previously and I didn't know, sorry if I rekindled any feelings of sorrow.

Our memories using lures
What was the reason for selling all those lures ? I'm guessing you no longer fish but still enjoy the nostalgia. I do remember going to the bait shops as a youth and asking " what's catching fish ? " and using my hay making money and buying what was recommended. Never found lures to hold much sentimental value though but remember hair jigs and pork trailer as the first bait being recommended by the older men that frequently came in. That's when fishing became an addiction because their advice lead to many successful outings. Furthermore, I'm guessing many years of fishing has lead to emotional connection that I've yet reached.

Why have they still not fixed the glitch of the “like” buttons being blacked out?
What facelift ?

Nine Pound Goldfish
Was under the impression that goldfish were basically carp so 9lbs could be legit. Oh, and this year especially, I've noticed every submerged tree/stump heavily decorated with glittery baits. Why throw exposed hooks into heavy cover? Oh well

When people copy you on the water flattered or annoyed
Wife and I vacation on a clear water lake each year and an older guy helped me solve this lake......drop shot candy cotton chartreuse. I always show everyone what he showed me, actually rewarding.

Never use profanity unless I'm working on an imported vehicle.

The winter pond fishing is kicking my butt so far and winter hasn't hardly started
Have a pond in my yard, crystal clear water with the deepest section of 4ft. Have various fish stocked in it and last week the water temp fell into the 30's. All fish, easily seen are gathered in the 4ft section and have been motionless for several days. We all have different experiences but once the water temps dip into the 30's , I can't catch bass on anything and with our current weather trends, I'll be off the water for a while. Only thing I can tell you is try fishing that pond in late afternoon on sunny day, couple of degrees could make a difference.

Striking hitches......is that how Strike King originated ? Maybe it's just a Tennessee thing. Lol

Chuck Yeager, dies at 97
Hadn't heard that name in many years. My father was a Sargent major and met him and spoke highly of him. RIP

Pro fisherman on this forum
Pretty sharp fella's on this forum with the credentials to be considered professional.....or at least give professional advice. I've follow many user names on this forum and their advice and explanations to technique are always consistent. Being open minded and willing to learn is key. In fact, most of what I've learned here I wasn't even the originator of the question asked. Lol

New to this forum
Yes welcome. I've learned quite a bit and taught very little here. Lol Few more details, where do you fish, bank or boat ?

I skipped fishing today and my wife had me rearranging furniture.
Teaching wives how to run power equipment equates to more wet lines....I see the logic.

Cold Weather Gear - Fishing
Refrigiwear is what I've worn for the last 15 years as an industrial crane operator, up until I retired.......warm but heavy. Much better options for fishing. You simply can't beat goose down as the lightest, warmest on earth. Synthetic materials can't compete as of yet but very vulnerable to dampness. I wear Norwegian goose down on dry days but believe you struck a happy medium with your choice of cold weather clothing.....efficient and durable.

Hindsight - Would you have done anything differently this season?
2020 was perhaps one of the more memorable years. 93 yr old mom passed. Last child moved out. Wife encouraged me to retire after many years of being a workaholic. Did more fishing in 2020 than the previous 10 years combined. Hope everyone has something to smile about in 2021.

Prime months for big bass
I've only landed 1 dd bass in many years of fishing and it was a blistering hot August afternoon on a Culprit worm. I consistently catch heavier fish in pre-spawn when water temps start climbing into the 50's.

Ron Lindner Passes Away
Wow ! Didn't hear that. Didn't miss a show and loved his passion and detail. Very sad and realize I'm getting old.
