Road To The Superbowl 2025
@12poundbass Miami vs Tennessee wasn't dull ?.......I detect sarcasm. Miami literally looked like a highschool team and " Snoop " Huntley couldn't put a football in a swimming pool. 👍

Road To The Superbowl 2025
@12poundbass Bills will be fine. NE, Miami and the Jets all look like bottom feeders in AFC East thus far. Josh Allen is a top tier QB as well.

With that username your team won and lost last night 😅. Yes that was a demolition by Baltimore, wow.

I bet that one tasted good.
Yes I get asked all the time by non-fishermam if I keep all my fish. Wife and I both love fish but I only keep a small percentage of them. By the way, Largemouth bass caught out of clean clear lakes are a delicacy so are spotted bass.

Skunked
Several members on this site claimed September can be a very slow month. I paid mind to it as I fished quite a bit this month. Have yet to put more than 3 fish in the boat fishing 5-6 hrs. Hang in there.

What make a spinnerbait worth $35?
Idk, it's a reaction bait, the fish don't have a lot time to inspect materials.

Road To The Superbowl 2025
Was under the impression that Dak was the highest paid QB at 60 mil per year.

Can you ID this soft plastic worm?
I think drop-shot would be a great way to start. I believe every worm I throw on a drop-shot is a flat side, mainly Robo and Zoom .

Jerry again!
Yes still being the same calendar year is understandable. I've seen threads that exceeded 10 years resurrected 😄

Respectable buck on trail cam.
Camera has been out for over a month and this looks like the only shooter on my property. One other 10 pt that's wider but needs another year.

Really hating this Trilene XL 4lb test
Before I got my prescription sunglasses I kept several pairs of reading glasses on the boat. I couldn't even tie an over hand knot without some kind of visual aid.

Tire rot
Best way to prevent flats is stay away from Pennsylvania 😁......I know.

Beavers and bass: The eternal debate
Not to derail the thread but we have lots of Heron and Loons in the Lakes I fish. I physically watch them eat their share of fish.

Beavers and bass: The eternal debate
I don't believe Beavers eat fish as I don't believe Deer eat meat....... reports misrepresent. Beavers aren't predators and swift swimmers like otters......wood, bark is their food source.

Beavers and bass: The eternal debate
A beaver hut is a guaranteed bass or two.

To loosen drags or not?
Never knew it was a thing until this thread. Never had and probably to late to add something else to remember 😉

Fishing alone
I have no lack of fishing partners but still enjoy fishing alone if I can keep my mouth shut. Wife goes often with a book.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Got out in light rain today, no wind. Caught only 3 bass but lost a really good one on a Zara Spook. Did put another Snakehead in the live well though.

Today really kicked my butt
September has been brutal here for effort per bass. Fished yesterday for 5 hrs for 2 bass, embarrassing. Starting to not like September......oh 63 .

how much did you spend this year on going after mr lmb?
My expense is mainly fuel and wear and tear. I've got over 6000 miles of towing the boat in 2024 and have several more trips planned until deer season. I buy tackle in bulk so I'm good for a couple of years in that department.

what should I have done?
It happens. I throw a ton of wacky worms on 1/16 VMC heads and where I get in trouble is trying to manage this technique in wind. Can usually save a deep hooked fish with wire cutters, cut off the barb and twist the hook out with long nose pliers. Both tools are a must. If the fish can't be saved it goes to the frying pan 🥘

The value of counting the fish I catch
I've never kept a log and many times forget my phone for pics, guess the excitement of fishing. 😂 I do keep a round about total in my head of catches and always remember what part of a lake is most productive. Love seeing fish reports of others catches.

Josh Jones 9 pound smallmouth
Nothing surprising with Josh Jones. The guy puts huge fish in the boat consistently.
