Hmmm 🤔 Dating and marriage, been with my wife for almost 42 years and never asked permission to go hunting or fishing. She's a very low maintenance " if any " independent woman. We both are very responsible and during child bearing years our children were our #1 focus and equally sharing that responsibility. My hobbies went on the back burner for many years so she never had reason to dislike them. Fast forward, kids are gone, same independent woman......I do as I please but we communicate.

At 63 I've been getting on the water at 6:am and off by 11:am. Yes it's been incredibly hot this summer like no other.

Wife and I moved up on the mountain 20 years ago and haven't had a garden since. BUT tomato plants in raised beds are a must and not much better than a fresh garden tomatoe. I spray cayenne pepper on the plants to discourage the deer 🦌

Assuming your talking about after they've been removed from the rod locker and placed on deck for action....... yes mine get tangled every outing.

Funny you mention that. Long time friend of mine and avid bass fisherman goes to the same church as I. Every Sunday before service we look for each other and talk about bass fishing. Well just recently an elder of the church walked up to us and kindly said " is that all y'all talk about " ?? He quietly walked away while my buddy was laughing hysterically when I replied. " Have you forgotten who the greatest fisherman in the world is " ? 😂

Pretty good impact, that's unfortunate. The offenders vehicle had to sustain significant damage but fled to avoid a ticket......scumbag. Had it happen on new truck while on vacation and couldn't open the doors on the passenger side for a week, very inconvenient.

I recently went on the long trip without any fishing and had a great time and it was what the wife wanted to do......3 weeks in Maine. BUT the next trip is 2 weeks of fishing on Stonewall Jackson lake in WV. Oh, the Orioles looking good this year 👍

If this was a normal summer here I could easily ride it out but it's been extremely hot and humid for weeks. Sooo yes, give me fall.

I'm very inconsistent, sometimes I take pics and other times my phone is left in the truck so no pics. I can't help but see the fish that I catch but don't stare them down after caught. 😂 Big ones, small ones, both released fairly quickly.

Slow this morning, only 3 on a wacky rig. Had a giant Snakehead rip a small bass off the hook right at the boat. Weather was hot and sunny, water temp 82*. This was the best fish.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your boat. Also an inconvenience of replacing everything..... takes time. An area I've never skimmed on is insurance and unfortunately had to use it on several occasions. Hope you find the right boat.
