  1. I personally like defense, well known defenses that actually have a nickname. Remember the no-name that would have pitched a shutout hadn't not been for Garo Yepremian - Dolphins. Steel curtain - Steelers Purple people eaters - Vikings Orange crush - Broncos Monsters of the Midway - Bears Doomsday - Cowboys Bullies of Baltimore - Ravens Legion of boom - Seahawks Dark side - Seahawks
  2. Congratulations to the Seahawks.
  3. A demolition by the " dark side " .
  4. Game dominated by defense, love it.
  5. Looking forward to the game but never heard of any of the entertainers. Halftime will certainly be a trip to the wood furnace 😀
  6. Remember Jim Zorn very well, actually thought he was pretty good. Also remember Bosworth getting dismantled on an attempt to bring down Bo.
  7. This thread should be retitled to........ HOUSTON we got a problem 😅
  8. I've tried several brands and they've all failed miserably in the durability dept. Been wearing Crocs ever since. Scott's recommendation looks interesting 🤔.
  9. Sounds like the right mindset and game plan. Many years ago I crossed paths with a Doctor who happened to be an author of several books regarding health and wellness. I picked his brain about what's most important for staying healthy. He raised 3 fingers and replied with this. " I'll never forget ". (1) Get plenty of exercise. (2) Drink copious amounts of water. (3) A proper sleep regimen. He said if these 3 things aren't being met then all other efforts are in vain.
  10. Outlaw Josey Wales, High plains drifting, for a few dollars more, fist full of dollars, good the bad and the ugly , hang em' high, Pale Rider, unforgiven....... should I continue 🤠
  11. Never counted but know this, As far as terminal tackle, hooks weights etc, I'll likely never have to buy again. Soft plastics? Probably a lifetime. Other than a favorite crank, jerkbait and spinnerbait, I'll be handing the bait monkey his a**.
  12. @Swamp Girl Thanks. It was very disappointing to say the least. I was proud of all the local volunteers who took off work to make the drive down. The flooding effected the bottom sheet of drywall in the town we were to work in so I was confident with the size of our crew we could put several families back in their homes in a weeks time. Frigid temps had other ideas 😔
  13. YouTube video would be more helpful but it's basically removing the spool and handle applying a drop of oil on shaft, side bearings and bail. Note: These are $100 spinning reels. Much more and I'd likely ship them out for service as I don't do well with tiny parts 😁
  14. @Pat Brown NC has been erratic last couple of years.......wild weather. I was apart of an relief effort last year after major flooding. We took all kinds of equipment and tools with us with plans to stay a week. Everyone got sent home from well below average temperature. Portable shower houses were froze shut and drywall mud froze solid. It was disappointing. This year looks similar regarding temps. Hope the fishing rewards y'all this spring.
  15. How geary are we talking about ? Many years ago took one apart that I thought was a little geary right out of the box. Well, reassembly made the issue worse. For the last 20 years or so I've been doing " basic maintenance " and not removing the crank side of any reel. I'd consider myself as a heavy use fisherman and have gotten by just fine. Hope you resolve the issue.
  16. This was a historically cold January so I'm looking forward to the opposite....... unseasonably warm weather to trigger an early bite. I'll be out somewhere in March with a smile 😊
  17. One incentive I have that leads to more fish getting eaten is my wife does all the cleaning and prep work. We do quite a bit of camping on various lakes in VA / WV and always have a pickup bed of apple wood. Smoked on an open fire , it don't get much better. Oh, she loves the Rapala filet board 😁
  18. Assuming your trying to pull down the road with everything level so a hitch with a 3-5" lift may allow you to hookup but not be ideal while towing. Years ago I had a driveway very similar and kept a couple of 2X6 boards in the garage. Simply backed up onto them which lifted the hitch for easy hookup.
  19. As soon as the fish start to bite. In the summer months I always start out early with Buzzbaits or WP before going to soft plastics. I've heard guys claiming to catch fish on top water with water temps in the 40's so they're pretty versatile.
  20. Zoom lizard, fluke, jigs and spinnerbait. Last year " prespawn " was actually catching them on a Mepps #3.
  21. My fishing partner uses nothing but Okuma and really likes them. You also have Kastking and 13 fishing reels if you just want to try something different. For that $115 price range, hard to beat the Shimano SLX. imo
  22. Beeeautiful.
  23. Bass and Bluegill are my 2 favorite freshwater fish for the dinner table. I don't often keep them but when the mood hits, the live well is getting filled. No I don't keep the bigger specimens.
  24. @rboat " I'm a diehard Dolphins fan " Ahhh that explains everything....... drafting noodle arm, immobile, injury prone, coming unglued under pressure, confused by defensive formations and non existent in cold weather.......Tua. I feel Ya'
