  1. Would like some clarification on this. Are we talking running the electronics on non motorized lakes ? If not, starting the boat and moving to another location will charge the starting battery via the engines alternator. I run my sonar, bilge pumps and some time lights and have not exhausted a group 24 after extended use. Does live scope have higher demands ?
  2. Ha Ha, Pete Rose said it best. " Some days fly balls take bad hops "
  3. Wood. A large percentage of the water I fish is full of lay downs, stumps and standing timber. It's a must to wear polarized glasses and watch your prop. Lol Deep structure ? It's still wood as some of standing Oaks are in 40+ feet of water. We do have cattails on the outer perimeters and do like to position the boat tight and cast horizontal to the bank, when I'm by myself of course.
  4. Once a year. Usage rate drops with increased inventory. I keep 10 Rods and reels on the boat and they all get used. If I were to only use 3 or 4 then additional service would be required...... just the way a simple mind works.

I've got 12, 11 and 5 year Asombroso in the cabinet, perhaps the finest tequila I've had.......and I thought 1800 was pricey.
  6. Every time I hear " gimmick " lure I can't help but think of the Banjo minnow. Lol
  7. Dobyns would be the first place I'd start as well.
  8. I've literally had my batteries so low that the trolling motor prop remained stationary. Maybe not ideal but they charged right back up.
  9. My mom ran a tropical fish store out of our basement back in the 70's. When she left the house, I'd run down in the basement and catch her big Oscars on a line and hook......they love krill.
  10. Hmmm. Lol Great question ❓ Fluke Speed craw Senko Keitech easy shiner Robo worm. But I like Brush hogs and Elaztech ?
  11. Yes, was referring to the 4.5 finesse worm. What triggered this thread was my surplus of finesse worms and was looking for ideas to utilize them other than dropshot which I throw a lot. I've gotten great replies and looking forward to throwing them Texas, Mojo and Shaky. Thankyou sir.
  12. I've not weighed everything in the boat but fairly sure I'm close to GVWR with alloted passengers. I do not store any baits in the compartments. Everything is in a rather large tackle bag and placed on front deck while fishing.
  13. Yes sir, that's a really good fish. Congrats
  14. Yeah I never did. Lol Threw Ned and drop shot as a finesse presentation. BUT with a surplus of finesse worms, will give it a go.
  15. I've always used interstate. 24 group for starting and accessories. ( 2 ) 27 group for 24v trolling motor. Maximum life, no issues.
  16. Agree, an incredible story of bravery.
  17. Point blank......hire a Mexican. My brother has a large roofing business and logging business, every employee is Mexican...... again, point blank.
  18. That motor could tell a few stories ? Glad she's still kick'n.
  19. Wow ? Thanks for sharing.
  20. Interesting ? Threw a lot of Carolina years ago but never Mojo.
  21. Currently have a surplus of finesse worms, Robo, KVD and Zoom mainly. I stocked up because I throw a lot of dropshot in our very clear water. Was thinking giving them a try T-rigged. Say a 1/8 bullet weight on a 1/0 hook. I've always been a 7" Culprit 4/0 hook kinda guy. Anyone like or even prefer tossing the little worms. ?

That thing is a tank, congratulations ?
  23. Just make sure you know the states regulations. In VA a trout stamp is required until stocking has ceased. In WV bass fishing is allowed without a stamp. Water temps in the 30's will make for a slow bite.
  24. Whole bunch of things wrong. Inexperienced boat operator, boat likely exceeding weight limit, Up on plane while passengers are standing. Operator never slowed down to navigate the wake. Hope no one was seriously injured.
  25. Welcome to Bass Resources. WV is a fishermans dream.
