I can tell you that when I bought my 1st vehicle I hated spending my paycheck at the pump. The vehicle lived it's life on a 1/4 tank or less. Several years later the battle started. The entire upper part of the fuel tank started rusting which clogged fuel filters and pickup tube in bottom of tank. Finally started filling up and the issue resolved itself over time. Perhaps this is not an issue today with tank material. Idk Both of my vehicles are gas hogs, lifted Jeep Rubicon and Ford F-250 with 7.3 liter gas engine......I gotta fill up if I want to get anywhere.

When you fish 3 - 4 days a week your gonna hit something. I find year after year that I don't start consistently catching LM bass until water temps climb into the 50's and 58* seems like holy grail around here. Pre-spawn is by far my favorite time to fish.

Y'all sure you're not talking about Crappie ? ? They don't stage up that heavy around here, maybe a half a dozen from 1 tree. Now Smallmouth below a dam here can be all day action but never the case with Largemouth.

Here in Western VA we've been dealing with extreme winds and below freezing temps at night. I was shocked to see how fast the water temps dropped in 1 week......51* down to 42* and that brought on lock jaw.

I'm on my 3rd boat trailer and 4th RV trailer and not a single bearing failure. I'm gonna get jinxed for this..... and never had a flat tire.

So yesterday afternoon while waiting my turn at the boat ramp. This older gentleman backed his boat down the ramp and jumped out of his truck with a grease gun. I tied off and climbed out of the boat to see if he needed a hand. Come to find out, this man does this at every single ramp before launching his boat. I find this odd and very unnecessary. I'm never in a hurry so waiting didn't bother me but I explained to the gentleman that excessive greasing without jacking up and spinning the tire will blowout the rear seal. He said " if you grease the bearings every trip out you don't need a rear seal " ? He was in his early 80's and blind in one eye so kudos there.

Are you talking fluorocarbon? The only fluorocarbon I use is Sunline Snyper. Knot strength is what I'm looking for.

Spinnerbaits are my #1 fish producers year in and year out. I simply won't tolerate one that runs sideways, they should run straight.

I was once a workaholic and abruptly retired, a request by the wife. Fishing has quenched the desire to work. Really thought I'd hate retirement. Does this qualify as backwards ? Oh, glad to hear you're wife had successful surgery.

We've had snow and below freezing temps the last 2 nights and unbelievable wind. 24* tonight but 62* tomorrow and windy but I GOTTA fish and I am. Lol

The 94 strike stung for me personally as an avid Reds fan. The Reds had the best record in baseball only to have it erased. The only record that mattered was after the strike was resolved...... ludicrous.
