  1. 30" on a Lowe Stinger 175. It's a difference of barely getting it into the garage to being able to walk completely around it.
  2. My cousin and I fished a lake yesterday, water temp 57* bluebird skies. He caught 3 on a Cordell big O in bluegill.
  3. That certainly seems to be non confrontational but perhaps a subtle way of distracting you from catching fish off her dock. ?
  4. Bought my truck 2021 F-250 about the same time A-Jay did. Sadly it just got booted from it's garage space, it fell victim to a Bass boat ? Glad you're still enjoying that truck, she's sharp.
  5. Love the Bullzeye, have a few as well.
  6. I'm pretty sure that a jig would make most anglers top 5.......of all-time. My last 4 fish that were 5lbs or better all came with a jig. They are extremely versatile in my hands. Cast them into the knarl, flip them around docks and drag them down steep rocky banks. Over half of my fish this year has come on a jig.
  7. I have to believe Bass ingest frogs. A friend of mine has a very small pond on his property, 6' deep and smaller than an above ground swimming pool. This pond was littered with frogs until he introduced a couple of LM bass he caught in the river.
  8. No answer is going to provide holy grail but perhaps opinion carries some merit. I've had bass boats before kids and enjoyed them immensely but sold them for sake of family.Once the kids grew older I dabbled into fishing kayaks, had 3. I kept going bigger and bigger and more stable and added electric propulsion but still felt cramped compared to the Bass boats. Kept one kayak and bought a Bass Raider with high seats and 55lb trolling motor. Bought a Bass boat a couple months ago and could literally kick myself for not doing it as soon as I retired instead of playing the boat game. If you can afford a Bass boat, skip all the unnecessary steps like I did. As an avid fisherman who is fortunate enough to be retired......a boat is an absolute must vs a want.
  9. For the last couple of years I've thrown nothing but Zman. The BladeZ tracks straight under various retrieves.
  10. Now this is something I don't quite understand. Kayakers will paddle past between my boat and the bank that I'm fishing as if they want to stay away from deep water. Lol
  11. I see them a lot at the lakes I fish and the owners rave about them, enjoy.
  12. Still to this day I sometimes forget my phone when I'm in the woods or on the boat. Missed capturing many fish and wildlife. Heck I caught a 6.9 bass couple weeks ago.....no phone. Something that I would have loved to had on video though was when the wife backed her car in the garage and left the garage door open. We were awoken at 3am to load noise in garage. We turn on lights and there's a large black bear sitting in her car eating blueberry muffins that she planned to take to work. He ripped a back window out and ended up doing $1300 worth of damage to wife's Subaru. No, not really funny but would have at least liked a picture of him sitting in her car like a human.
  13. Went to a Van Halen concert back when they released " Jump ", long time ago. These days I'm more into Van Morrison ?
  14. I'm spending $70 per week for gas and chewing tobacco just to go fishing ?
  15. I have no explanation as to why but catch more fish on bone colored Jerkbaits then any other color. Water I fish is gin clear and do best with cloud cover. Also do respectable with silver and blue.
  16. I got ran off a dock last year and I asked why the bad attitude. The guy said because of irresponsible fisherman littering his dock with fishing lures. He said he had to go around the dock and free the baits so his kids could swim. I guess if your trying to skip Jerkbaits under a dock, that could be a problem. Lol
  17. I keep referring back to my wife's favorite song of all time. " God is great, beer is good and PEOPLE ARE CRAZY ". LOL It's a lot easier to move to the next dock vs a heated exchange.
  18. Also give Lowe a serious look. No wood in the construction, wider than a Tracker with an enormous casting deck.
  19. I started a thread awhile back similar. Arrived at one of my favorite lakes to find that it was lowered 10' for ramp maintenance. Was able to drag my kayak to the water and fish. It turned out to be the slowest fishing day on this particular lake that I've ever experienced. I'm certain seasonal changes would be less dramatic to the fish. If you're looking for a direct answer, I'd rather have rising water during warmer months.
  20. Rub it in. ? Welcome to Bass Resources and post some pics of DD bass.
  21. No doubt agree and have never once listened to music in many years of fishing. Just looking for a simple way to appease the wife while she watches me fish. Lol
  22. Wife told me today that if she's spending significant time on the boat this spring in summer that I must mount a stereo, she's gotta have music. Well since I can't sing, ran to Walmart and grabbed a Bluetooth speaker. Shouldn't that suffice for some low volume country ?......she likes Kenny Chesney and the Dixie Chicks. Lol I'm to old for that teeth jarring " wake boat " kinda stuff. So seriously, what better option than a Bluetooth speaker that I simply keep on the boat with a charger ?
  23. Welcome to Bass Resources Carlos.
  24. I'm not a high-end kinda guy. Shimano SLX on a Lew's Custom speed stick 6'10 med fast would cover most of my moving baits. $250 - $300 for a combo is my sweet spot. I would be lost though if I were reduced to 1 rod and reel.
