What's to like about a kayak?
I didn’t see that radio at first so all I could think of was how much I’d have to yell at that distance. What model radio is it?

What's to like about a kayak?
One thing I do miss about a boat is having someone to talk to. Sure I have some great conversations with myself but I do miss someone else within talking distance

Kayak cart for ss127
Had someone at the ramp with a ss127 want to try out my ctug before he bought one. It kept slipping off the pads. It just wouldn’t work right. I’ve built 3 pvc carts. Two broke right away using 1” pipe. My Big Rig is heavy. I went up to 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” and it hasn’t broke yet but it creaks and groans. That’s why I bought the ctug.

What's to like about a kayak?
Biggest thing I like about my kayak is I can afford it at this time in my life. I had a Ranger bassboat and it’s a lot of money to maintain, gas bills, big enough vehicle to tow it. I just can’t justify that anymore. But I do miss the thrill of 60 mph down a lake (only had 150hp back then).

That looks just like mine. Same length action also. I bought mine off of Craigslist in Dec for $75. Haven’t used mine yet but will next week- Million dollar question on setting the drag on baitcaster
I just did the dumbbell weights thing. I have to admit that was kinda scary. When you’re fishing you don’t really pay attention to how much the rod is bent. But when you’re looking right at it seeing bent right over trying to lift 2 lbs it got me worried- Anyone here have a flat top grill?
I know this isn’t what you’re really talking about but could I use this on top of my grill grates? https://www.amazon.com/Ecolution-Grill-Griddle-Stovetop-Reversible/dp/B00E3NMCBU/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=flattop%2Bgrills%2Bfor%2Bstove%2Btop&qid=1617106538&sprefix=flattop&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExTEhMT1YzS0g5TTJEJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjQzMTQ0MlI3V0xaTTRTUE9SNyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMTkzNTM3MVgyVTAxWThQRE1YTiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl&th=1 Im not much of a griller and seem to get a lot of grease flares ups. I always thought a flattop would be nice- Million dollar question on setting the drag on baitcaster
I have no idea where I learned to set a drag but what I do is grab rod with my right hand, line through the guides, have the line about 4’ out of tip, grab line with left hand and start pulling. Set drag so it just slips. Did that make sense how I wrote it- Post a photo a day!
Boy do I miss that feeling. It’s been 20yrs- Kayak people. How many rods do you bring?
I’ve bumped my rods with the paddle, and lifting the lid on my crate has almost dumped a rod. You just never know- White Wine drinkers...
Semi-dry Riesling is our favorite. I’m cheap when it comes to alcohol that I’ll just pee out in 15 min. None are over $15 Not sure if in your area but here’s a few Relax Château St Michelle Snap Dragon Schmitt Sohne- Post a photo a day!
- New to kayak. Scupper holes?
8lb dumbbell is more than enough. I use a 3 lb mushroom anchor. I also use a 18” wind sock to slow down my drift when the wind kicks up. Have fun and always wear a good PFD- St. Croix Mojo 7’ 1” Med Hvy Fast Casting Rod or??
Thank you I didn’t even notice the victory was listed. I bought one!- St. Croix Mojo 7’ 1” Med Hvy Fast Casting Rod or??
I was all set to buy from TW a St. Croix Mojo 7’ 1” Med Hvy Fast Casting Rod but now they are back ordered till May 7 and I’m impatient. I’ve got TW gift cards burning a hole in my pocket. What’s the next rod up you would get with spending no more than $200. I’m not sure what it will be used for yet. All I know is I don’t have a med hvy rod.- What is the most stable kayak in the market
Stable in what way? Standing, big waves? Most people will say Hobie but I’ve never been in one. I have a Jackson Big Rig. Is it the most stable I don’t know. I stand in it all day. I’ve been out in some bigger waves - well at least big waves for small lakes. I had to really stand on the side to try to turn it over so I could see how far I could go- Average Bass Tackle Length of Cast?
Yeah I probably should have just done that. - Advice on Used St. Croix Legend Tournament Purchase
