I don’t like Abu...
I always respect other people choices, But ill. never go back to Abus, I only have one Toro Monster reel for my big swimbaits and I always want to get rid of it. if you fish with them in windy condition, sand will get to them for sure and you need to clean and send them to service frequently. I only oil my shamans and lube them, Never sent to service yet.

Fall Lure Selection
There is no secret that soft jerk bait and hard jerk bait is on from now up to end of winter. Specially the hard jerk baits, only thing going to change is sound and color and sometimes size. so start with noisy and flashy colors in fall ad end up with silent and pale or transparent colors through the winter. thats what I learned and so far it works for me since hard jerk baits are my confidence lure all year round. But as most of you might know I am casting out jigs and frogs a lot to gain confidence with the.

Keeping a kit in your vehicle?
yeah, since I drive a lot and far places for work or fishing, and since I go fishing anytime anyone suggest that, I have this things in my car and I am ready to go for any fish for few days and night. for example I was talking to a customer in Mojave last month and he said he is going to fishing after our meeting and he has his RV boat and everything for 5 days fishing and camping and he invited me, so I drove 350 miles after hi and fish with him and his sons LOL. I had everything in my car. so thats my lifestyle. thats why I have those things. Believe me I have way more than that in my home for every kind of fishing, so my car is really my car kit only.

Crawlers
Sorry first I needed to upload pictures, Thats my worm project and I have them about 3 years now and I only harvesting and never buy any worms. the two white one is my adults that producing eggs and I move the eggs time to time to nursery (blue big bucket). as you can se also some will always remain and they grow with their parents(like the one I show with my finger). so let me intrudoce you to European night crawlers, This tough scoundrels staying alive and they are fighters. First no need to keep them 45 to 65 , they can live in heat up to 90. So as long as you have them indoor in summer, they will be very fine. About fishing with them, They really work at least twice better than Canadian night crawlers. About the fishing bass with them, If I have kids or someone want to catch bass by any means necessary , Ill have light spinning rod with 6 to 8lb test line and number 2 or 4 worm hook and mojo rig this and cast it from dam side of reservoir so they can catch fish(sallies most of the time). If you are interested in this worms as me question and ill show you how to do it, They are smaller than Canadian, but they get fat same as them, and perfect size for fishing.

New conventional swimbait reel
Conventional Cardif if you want to save money and calcatta Conquest. Also to just let you know you can go low profile with Shimano TranX300(thats the one I use for baits you mentioned), I never have any problem with 300 size.

Lb test for jigs?
agree with you, But also see the wire gage of it, If lower gage and thin hooks, you can still use 12lb test and also you can open the hook keeper brush by hand or even cut some off. for me I only use 1/4 with 12lb test.
-
Lb test for jigs?
I use 12lb test tatsu for smaller jigs 1/4. Also if there is so many grass I use another set up have 40lb test maxquatro with 16lb test FC100 leader.

Need Help For Learn Skipping A fishing Lure With Baitcaster
unfortunately I have no Daiwa, But I have all Shimano DCs. I am trying to do it with shorter rod (6'10") as well to make it easier.

Short strikes
Anytime I get short strike I go crazy hahaha... always try wacky rig or Texas rig immediately.

Reel Storage Tip
I never store my reel for long time, But always put the in cover in my Shimano reel bag and just bring them out night before fishing or if I drive long, ill bring them out at the lake and install them on rod, It is not keeping them safe also good for rods, It will have no pressure on rods. and this is my reel that I am using mostly. the rest are in another bag with my travel rods

Braid+leader vs floro
Let me clearify something for you, Braid is more sensitive when you have tight line, So fluorocarbon in general is more sensitive than braid, Despite that I am using braid to fluorocarbon for my jig rod. If you spool your braid tight, It won't dig in itself and you connection knot wouldn't be a problem unless you need to do it few times, Otherwise you can have it ready with good 7 feet fluorocarbon leader and you can change lure few times during the day. It is just my idea and I respect everyones decision just sharing the way I do it.
