  1. Here I saw great recommendations from fellow members replying you and all of them are good and proven recommendations. I would do the same and agree with them. Since you said you are braid to leader fisherman I want to share my experience with you. I was braid to leader(fluoro) on all my 10 set ups and reason for that was mostly backlashes, I had backlash with flouro always. after couple years and study and look after pros ive seen almost 80% of them using flouro and they use braid or mono on special application. So I start with 10lb fluoro on my 802 set up(medium power) and I really liked it, Now I am about to spool my MH set up all the way fluoro as well. and my large swimbaits rod and frog rod are all the way braid. so now I only have 5 rods with braid to leader, 3 rods(XH, XXH and XXXH) only Braid. and two only fluoro. Always remember where you fish most and how you fish. Is it grass? so you need braid to leader, is it rocks or open water ? you need to go all the way fluoro. sometimes you need to have very long leader of fluoro, Like my spinning set up, I have 15lb samurai braid and 10 to 20 yards of 6lb test fluorocarbon leader. I know you only have 3 set ups, But here comes the side effects of bass fishing, buying more specific combos for every situation. Anyways I hope I could be helpful for you to decide your choice of line. At the end, Yes I dont use mono at all, I use mono only on saltwater fishing.
  2. Trilene XL is really limp, I use that for couple years now and it is really good.
  3. Shimano curado, I really love it. try to read reviews and you will be agree with me.
  4. Sexy Shad for me only and it looks good under water. I always get whites and blacks and sexy shads only.
  5. Yup, There is ned bait max scent is coming, I really waiting for that. I cant remember the name but I know it is coming soon.
  6. Thats make me wonder that no one talking about, Always you cant find every Maxscent product in any website, And you cant find every color as well. I dont know why they just make more. Anyways June bug is another tough one to find.
  7. Finally Ordered Conquest 903C, Yup, I did it finally and order the 903C, I was fighting by myself to get 803 or 903 and finally 903 won, The reason that I did buy 903C was mostly Jared Lintner Anyways shipping that going to kill me, because I was stupid enough to save $11 for standard shipping< Going to update when I get it and pair it with Antares 21 DC with 12lb test Tatsu.
  8. welcome to Bassresource
  9. I watch this videos more than 100 times, I always get backlash with casting that way, I couldn't do it once for pit sake, So I always do side casting.
  10. I have two 842, The Spinning I use for ned rig and drop shot and light shaky head and very small jerk bait and crank bait(1/8 oz) The 842 casting I use for 1/2oz crank bait and jerk bait and jigs.
  11. I have both, I am very sure you need to get Medium, I really like it. It is up to you 782 or 842, I have the 842S and I really using was all around spinning for everything including the Ned rig. BTW I spool it with 15lb samurai and 6lb vanish (10 yard Long leader).
  12. I got custom GLoomis Edge rod 761 bait casting. I pair it with Aldebaran 31 MGL to cast 1/16 and 1/32 trout jigheads. So if you use spinning type, you going to par it with 1000 size reel and 4lb test or 2lb test. you going to catch big bass and trouts with that.
  13. I have 844c for T rig and it is great.
  14. I use anything from 4/0 EWG to 11/0 worm hook. I use to use 11/0 till I see so many pros suggest to use 3/0 and see the effect on bites. So now I try everything always.
  15. yup, you are rights I said before new NRX is conquest with another color. I need to take closer look though to make sure.
  16. Lure Jerk Bait, But Texas rigged 3/8 worm or creature always with me on my 804C with 40lb braid to 16lb F leader. 2/0 or 3/0 Gami hook. I can fish it all year and catch on it.
  17. Yes Always I do seal all of them once open the box and leave it for 24 hours and start to use the rod.
  18. It is no question in my idea, I would definitely will go with metanium DC, Because someday it will make a potential bad fishing day with backlashes, To a great fishing day with heavy bag.
  19. My thumb is doing his thing, Its not I am thinking about it. In X mode I use my thumb if I feel I am loosing the control. I have no video but tomorrow when I go fishing ill try to do X mode and show you. Sometimes really I want to get as far as I can and I use X mode and lower the break till I get backlash and I start to use my thumb right there. Just as I said it depends to so many things, Maybe today with this lure you'll have your break on 5 but next day you need to have your break on 4. Sometimes changing lures how they going against the wind will force you to change the break. lets say you have two rig/lure same weight one Texas riged 3/8 pegged and the other ***/8 chatter bait. well they are day and night different the setting your break even everything else is the same. Anyways I have no go pro but ill try to get something with my phone tomorrow.
  20. Well hello fellow DC user, First I upload two photos, This is my latest Antares 21 DC and this one is never been used yet. See the factory setup, Same thing for my last Antares 21 Dc and when I got that one I spool with tatsu 10lb and I start casting with original setting. Usually I am not using thumb at all first few cast and ill try to see how far I am getting distance, In case if I need more ill start to gow down from Max one by one till I get to that sweet spot. on my 2018 and 2016 Ive had them on X mode and I follow my steps, From max every few cast lower the break till I found that spot that you getting most of the distance with the lure and condition you fishing in(wind direction and etc...), So in my Idea you shouldn't be hurry and cut the break off all the way Ada X mode and start casting. My best casting distance was LV500 with 18 MD with braided line on X mode, It is look like you need to match everything, line, lure and wind condition.
  21. 6'6" Shimano is my favorite for skipping, specially that I am bank fishing. And shorter rod help me to dont have any incident and loose my tip top.
