when I think of pros and cons, I am deciding to don't have power pols. 1- extra money. 2-in RT178 you can have only one power pole and anything not symmetrical is not really my thing . 3- weight of power pole.

The reason is the main lake I am going to be is no gas motor policy, also it is very cheaper than bigger options. I have second lake I am going to visit also and can have any power motor, 25 is too weak? I really have no knowledge and appreciate the help.

thats very good point, I must say I am almost like you, Almost all of them braid to leader. I have two rods are not braid to leader, My frog rod and my giant swimsuit rods which both straight braid, BUT I am going to use straight Flouro on my new combo for jerk bait and some deep crank bait .

everyone have their own idea, I do 65 with 30lb FC, but on my dobyns for giants I do 65 strait braid. but so many pros using 25lb mono or FC strait for Deps 250.

Your reel choices are perfect. for rod I would go with Courado 906 or dobyns ultra mag 908. you can buy dobyns 906 or 806 as well . I have more like 3 swimbait rods, 1-3oz(which you have), and this last two so I can cover everything up to 26oz

With your option I would go 843C. I have 844C myself and I am going to get 842C as soon as my new reel is here, But since you only getting 1 rod and thats the lures you going to cast out, so I thing 843C is the one you want to get.

Most of you guys have night fishing with boat experience, I do fish at night a lot, not only summer but all the year. For me night fishing horror is mosquitos, Man you cant do anything about them, slightest light and they will eat you up. and imagine you need to tie a knot in that situation, thats horror. But if you have little wind they will be gone. My story of loosing that two digit is with me forever. I went to some spot in SoCal, where the kern river going in lake isabel, thats one of my spot for night fishing. I was using 65lb straight braid with 1oz jig with strike king trailer, a big bulky black and blue jig for heavy cover. ive hear the bass jumping to the surface but she missed my frog cou[ple times, so I tied the jig and cast it to her, I swear I hear the splash that she got my jig once it touches the water ad bam I have it set the hook of my life time and I am about to horse her BUT she just gave a good first dance/jump and cut the 65lb Power Pro like a cream puff and poof she gone. Oh I forgot to mention after she cut the line, She didn't realize that and she was tail dancing for about 5 second till she realized that there is no line, only the jig in mouth That was my most interesting story, that fish could have change my life but she gone with my jig. I am sure that jig would not stant in her mouth so I wasn't worry about her health.

I wanted to buy Mega spool of Seaguar Fluorocarbon and I wonder if it has shelf life, so I need to buy smaller spool, if not ill buy biggest spool.

I have Veritas for long time(old version), honestly they are Art and technology. But ive heard so much about major craft. just remember veritas always 1 power higher than what they said. if you order medium light, actually the feel is a medium rod. That comes from my experience.
