  1. welcome to Bass Resource
  2. all on jighead, I have one jighead set up also. nice catches
  3. check this one, new kind, I just got it and going to try it soon, it should be something, especially it is snag-less(thats the reason I got this one). https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?sort=no&start=0&count=30&searchtext=pathfinder That is correct and I hear that from so many Pros, I myself trying to do topwater faster for awhile, Lets see the reward
  4. same thing happened to me , I got brand new last week, after oil, become much better , ill try to record and upload in YouTube. exactly like you t he free spool buttery smooth but retrieving was horrible and it is just happening in Aldebaran 30s. watch the review of it on the reel test channel on YouTube, he feel the same after unboxing it infant of camera.
  5. Guys going to fish whole week of Nov 9 for fishing at kern river and lake Isabel , Daytime trout and night time bass, anyone care to join?
  6. Guys I book some room in Kernville, I am going whole week at kern river for BFS trout fishing at day and bass fishing at lake Isabell at night, thats going to be crazy and joyful weekend.
  7. is this applicable in SoCal? I did try it few days back, going to do it tomorrow.
  8. Use Daiichi Intruder Trailer 2553 red fly fishing hook, I using number 6 and 4 depending on situation with 8lb test mono, and believe me when I said I had 100% hook up so far. Robo worm oxblood and M power Fast action rod with your normal spinning reel. keep your leader 8 to 10" (I got the most of the bite on short leader), and weight depending on depth and wind and you'll be surprized.
  9. I did ned rig, till last minute, anyways the lake I was only large mouth bass in it.
  10. No it is not on bait casting, I use 20 on my M power and 16lb leader. for my only spinning combo I use 15lb X8 braid.
  11. I did it all day today and no lock, but temp changed about 30 degree in last 24 hours and that was reason for that I think.
  12. welcome
  13. I wonder if you only can choose one lure/bait and combo for bass fishing, Regardless of time of year and location, What would you choose? For me Senko Trig with my 844C and Anteras MD, Because also I can do wacky and power shot as well and have option to use weightless or use weight, even I can make it calrolina, haha so Senko is my choice. What will be yours?
  14. Here is SoCal we had 100 till yesterday, LOL. it is practicly summer, But honestly today temp drops and showing 80 to 89 for next 10 days. so I always need to get back to watch videos about fishing in couple mounts , Thank you so much for very informative clip and man that was nice catches there.
  15. --------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE; The seller in Japan was scammer, And I force to buy only rod I can find which it was MG-56MLC, same power and action, only 6" longer.
  16. Thats the disease I was talking about, haha... Anyways in my case I wasn't able to find the spool since everything is sold out, so I keep everything original. you can have same set up with only around $100 and as I hear, they are really good and will do the job.
  17. It was really hard to find exactly his rod, I have friend in Japan and he look all day and he found two in one store but the year 2020, the rod in video year 2018 end that color and they start dark maroons color for casting set up. the rod was 98,615 JPY the most expensive in their line of rods. M-AIRE
  18. Hello guys, this couple weeks I had a fried from Japan visited me and I got new disease from him, Called BFS fishing specially for trout and panfish(ive seen 16lb carp was caught on same set up). so first going to show you this YouTube video, thats the set up I got and waiting to arrive here. once here, I am going to hit the road, trout fishing in streams in morning and bass fishing in night. I am very exited about this and going to update you guys. Please let me know any suggestion you have.
  19. I cut a junebug Senko on chartreuse ned head
  20. in my idea it is, why don't you try to lean back only and retrive your line fast only, not actual hooks, also I know the light hooks with hooks like that will rip their lips very easy. I use same hooks I told you with my drop shot hooklets, number 4 mosquito light wire hook and I never set the hook like that. Only retrieve faster and keep the line tight. I hope I could be help.
  21. For me Rod also more important, Always when I got new combo, the reason was needing new specific rod for spesific technique, But in other hand I always trying to get the best reel that match that combo as well. So far I am totaly agree with you, ive seen Shimano reel from 25 years ago and it was working and performing like so many high end reels today.
  22. Junebug Ned rig worked for me always, if it become crazy and no bite, just mojo rig live night crawlers
  23. Anyways I am going to give a shot this year, the Edge rod I got is 1 power, I want to try skipping the 1/8 and 1/16 with it up the stream. also I have aldaberan 30 size with routing marquis rod. both new set up and going. to play with them this year. here in Southern California, no trout due to some kind of bacteria killed them in all hatcheries, but I am going to hit the road not so long and go after rainbows and browns.
  24. OMG, you exactly have same as my combo I recently ordered.
  25. wish you caught it soon, just get to the water
