Had those first then "upgraded"

Never had it but I've had it in hand several times. Finally picked up a bottle of WT rare breed the other day....wow.

I'm primarily cutbait now, but there's something about stinkbait especially when the rivers really low and hot. I still watch some of those old In fisherman catfish dvds...good stuff.

That's the old school approach...the way my dad and grandpa taught me to do it. Once I started reading Doug Stanges cat fishing articles it completely changed my approach.

That's my style to...move move move until I find active fish.

Well I got back into this last summer in mid September, didn't take long to remember why I loved it. This year I'm gonna start a few months earlier just to get more days in. Got a bag of cut up Asian carp and I'm off til Wednesday, so tomorrow morning its go time. Anybody else enjoy wading small rivers for channel cats?

At work a while back one of the operators unlocked a pump after maintenance serviced it and said it wouldn't pump. He tried starting and stopping it to clear blockage, no dice. He back flushed the pump, nope. Watched the pump run making sure the coupler wasnt broke, it wasn't-- pump turning but no flow. Walks into my office and says hey man I've tried everything, can you come look and see what's up? I walk out and go to the pump and within 3 seconds turn to him and say when you unlocked it you left the discharge valve closed. Opened it and the control room says I don't know what you just did but we got our flow back.

I support this thread 100%. My philosophy on when I cut my hair is ill do it when I'm d**n good and ready, never when somebody else is putting pressure on me to do it.

All ill say is buzzbaits are my favorite top water followed closely by a popper. I've caught hundreds of bass on a buzz bait over the years.

1 medium mod fast casting rod, reel with 12lb copolymer or mono. 1 medium fast spinning rod , reel with 10-20lb braid. 4\0 EWG hooks, 1\4oz poppers and some small wake cranks like Mann's baby 1 minus. Bag of senkos...bag of flukes.

Don't do it @TnRiver46...we can be shaggy brothers in arms. Team longhairdontcare.

So besides a toad what are your favorite plastics to swim on top?

50-75% of my fishing is done alone...which I kinda prefer honestly. I do have several fishing buddies I go with. Chase is a good buddy and a solid bass fishing partner but he has a flock of kids so we only fish together a few times a year. Todd is also a good buddy, he's not a bass guy but we do target panfish and Wall eyes together from Fall thru winter. Brian's my primary bass partner but he is flaky to say the least.

Only trailer I've thrown the past several years is a menace... I catch alot of swim jig fish. Its a go to for me on a few bodies of water.

You know a griddle smash burger or cast iron pub burger are both solid, but you can't beat meat cooked over an open fire.

Not critical an any way. Just skin hook the point on the other side.

Imagine if they went to an old school little or no electronics format. Then when Randy Blaukat got his teeth kicked in, what would he blame it on?

I have a buddy that just did this very thing. They would give him an extra $1500 off if he financed thru them. Did that, then the next Monday paid it off.

Here's what I really like. Put a cast iron pan on the grill cook some bacon, then get it ripping hot...8oz patty...about 45-60 seconds per side to get a good crust. Then I move it to my smoker at about 220 and let it go til the internal temp is around 125, throw on 2 slices of American and pull it at 135. After carryover heat its usually around 138-140.. Kinda the high end of medium rare low end of medium. Then on a toasted bun mayo on bottom bun,shredded lettuce, patty , 2 strips bacon, super thin tomato maybe 3 slices with salt and pepper, steak sauce and top bun.

So I've never really had any beam products, but for what this is and the price it sounds solid. For anybody whose had this, what do you think of it?

If I get out its a pretty good day, if I catch anything its a great day...if I can walk without awful back pain after its awesome. If I had to put a number on it well that all depends where I'm fishing and time of year. If I'm at my local and I catch 4 or more fish with at least 2 in the 3+ range im.very satisfied.

Lack of options

Depending on time of year I'd be fine with just a bag of flukes.
