Picked up a couple new to me pours today. Got a bottle of Ardbeg An Oa...not usually a scotch guy but wanted something challenging. Also got a bottle of Woodford reserve double oaked....I like the regular Woodford so took a couple steps up in price.

I'm usually pretty close...within 3-4oz either way. Last year I caught me I estimated at 5.5...put her on the scale she was 5.43. Later I caught one I estimated at 5 she was 5.24. I sometimes big eye and some times under gun...but I'm relatively close.

So in the never ending quest to find tasty cheap whiskey I came across the as. Made in the buffalo trace distillery...there's 6 different variations in the line up. Has anybody tried any of these offerings ? If so what did you think? Which one do you prefer?

I have no experience with the otts garage, but if its a rapala it catches fish. That said I've have pretty good luck on the frittsides the past couple springs...honestly for cold water it's my favorite crankbait.

Glad your doing better man, sorry for your losses. My girlfriend lost her father when she was 18, 4 months after graduation. Still hits her from time to time. Hang in there man...oh and do some fishing! Nature has great healing, soothing powers.

So my local river is mostly ice free and its up which is good to see. In years past under these conditions early season like this I've found pike pushed back into creeks. Problem is I've always struggled to catch them. Any suggestions on presentations or baits?

Nice fish. Hoping like you said this is a sign of things to come. I went thru the same scenario the past few years...in 21 I only got 1 bass over 5, last year I caught a 5 1\2 in March on my 2nd trip of the year. Ended with 3 over 5 last year and 1 that was just shy.

It hasn't been as mild on this side of the state. We've had consistent cold temps...some brutal cold and more snow than I've seen in years.

Considering throwing this on one of my crappie rods. Anybody have experience with it?
