For everyone thinking about using a tourniquet, please make sure you read up on the proper procedure for its use. Some recommendations on hear are not correct. As a paramedic for 14 years it was always understood that a tourniquet is a last resort to either save a limb or life.

One in the truck and one in the boat. Depending on training and skill level as to what you carry.

That’s some scary stuff. One very lucky man. And others very unfortunate and tragic end.

I believe you have a good handle on this. Start out where your comfortable and move on if the desire is there.

I’ve run Minnkota’s on several boats for years and have never had a failure yet. No knock on other brands just never had a reason to switch or try the others.

I run 3 helix units and never had a issue. I thought of Solix for the touch screen but as mentioned above I went with dependability and the Helix does everything I want or need.
