My recommendation is Goodyear endurance. There not cheap but I believe the best. I put thousands of miles on them with high speeds and have never had a failure. But your driving distance and speed can play a factor too.

Let’s dumb the whole question down. You’re going to be removing your prop and possible doing some maintenance. Turn your main power switch or disconnect your battery. Turn your key on and see if anything happens. If not then remove your key and get to work.

I purchased a spare 3yrs. Ago for $800 from my Skeeter dealer. I see Yamaha has them now for $955

Whenever I’m doing any maintenance on my motor I have my main power switch turned off.

@Fishingmickey You are 100% correct. Fork can be very dangerous. Those stumps are no joke.

Lake Erie and St. Lawrence river both would be a good choice.
