Agree with @Jar11591 the docks on Keuka is a good place to start. Also the canal coming from the Penn Yan boat launch to the main lake.

I’ll repeat what I’ve said in other posts. I can’t tell people what to do BUT when on my boat and the big motor is running you’ll wear a PFD or you won’t be on the boat. What others do on their boat, kayak or other vessel is their personal choice until it’s the law.

I would agree with what @Rockhopper said is right on. The parking lot there is like a football stadium parking lot.

We have Cabela’s approx. 3 hrs away and a Bass Pro 2 hrs. away. About the only time we head over to them is to take the grandkids to look at the animal mounts and fish tanks. We have several mom and pop tackle shops near buy that I prefer to support. Then when ordering on line it’s usually TW or Fish USA. I do remember the days that going to Cabela’s was a all day event, but like anything else time change.

I’ve been using Aftco rain gear for awhile and it’s been performing great. Several friend use Simms and all seemed very satisfied. Sorry to hear of your problem but I would recommend contacting Simms. They’re a good company and I would guess they would help you out.

I can’t say or even imply that someone is cheating without knowing all the facts. But I’ve never fished a tournament that the TD or any other official was in the competition. The line where it says that the decision of the tournament official on all matters is final should eliminate them from participating.

@mcipinkie good advice has been giving. Why not try looking at used boats of different size and power that you can actually get in and drive and see where your comfort level and needs are. You will be amazed at the difference and skill level it takes with different boats. Good luck on your journey.
