  1. Do you like to creep them on bottom or swim them more? Thanks for all you do
  2. It works I've done it, HOWEVER, it does not look glassy clear, more opaque, the slower drying epoxy seem to look better. Not an expert but hope this works
  3. Remember when basic 2d sonar became a thing that anybody could afford and it was so neat, still I think it's so neat, even the cheaper versions that aren't as clear. I am not apposed to livescope, I still don't quite understand how to read it well, maybe if I understand it better I will have a more educated opinion, but for now i just look at it as a better fish finder.
  4. If you are fishing the hardbaits more I'd suggest L, if the light jigs more I'd suggest UL, my humble opinion.
  5. Interesting concept, I might get of of these, backpacks work okay, but like you said you have to take them off
  6. That reel Seay reminds me of my lamiglass reel seat.
  7. I own one and I think yours is defective, mine is kind of hard to turn even with fingers and makes a click for each adjustment.
  8. Beautiful, how do you like the emeraldas?
  9. This topic has been discussed 10 times, the general analysis is BC handle heavy lures better and can softly land lures expecially around cover. SP casts light lures easily. No, i dont think spinning will not get replaced anytime soon expecially for UL 1.5g lures and lower, and I have owned a few bfs reels, and right now own a krestel and a few cdm reels, they are fine around cover and cqb fishing, but don't compete in our open water socal resavoirs, expecially when wind picks up. Plus if I flip the coin, with line technology making great strides, there would be more manageable thinner, farther casting line on SP
  10. I feel like a WP buzzbait, and prop style bait are different enough to deserve individual categories
  11. I'm no law expert but that is what I have found
  12. Question #4: Can I legally carry a dagger? : When a knife doesn’t have a folding mechanism or ejector button, it is considered a fixed blade knife. Kitchen knives, ice picks, and other sharp objects are included in this category. Under California law, a “dagger” is a knife that can be readily used as a stabbing weapon. Daggers and other sheath knives must be carried openly and cannot be concealed in the state of California.
  13. Yeah we are so safe we can't carry a knife that doesn't fold in our backpack, even when fishing or hunting....... Yet it's legal to carry around a bow and arrow in public both concealed and non concealed.... because we are just that safe
  14. Very interesting, perhaps I will try that. Great info!
  15. Is there a link to it, I would love to take a look!
  16. Sadly there are only a few lakes that have smb here in socal, the best one is private and I have no access
  17. I learned on multiple reels, which hindsight 2020 helped me a ton. Old 2010ish revo stx with 22g spool, helped me learn basics. Abu bmax3. Taught me how to adjust spool tension and magnets based on lure weight, now I can throw as heavy as a 1 oz jig to as light as a weightless lizard or even trick worm (but maybe only 30 feet) Diawa tatula was much more punishing at times at first compared to the revo stx heavy spool and super strong duel breaking system, but allowed for much longer casts, more accurate pitching flipping sidearm casts etc. Any reel will work to learn on, trying different ones can also help teach you how to use a magnetic vs centrifugal vs hybrid or even a adjustable centrifugal. Diawa cc 80 is a good cheap reel to learn on in case you don't like casting equiptment. Use zebco omniflex in 12lb, it's only 3$ a spool of 800 yards (was 1.50 but inflation) and will give you the confidence to pitch flip cast etc. I still use it when practicing my skipping, expecially with very hard to skip baits like a spinnerbait.
  18. That is a good point. I wonder why thet tend to hit things like a senko, or creature bait like a brush hog
  19. So I'm sure everyone here has had great luck on plastic worms of all varieties, but do you believe you get more bites on realistic looking soft plastics like a Craw imitator Realistic fluke minnow imitators Paddle tail baitfish imitators Berkley gilly bluegill imitators Specifically in clear water Thanks friennds
  20. The best knot is the knot that you can tie consistently without failure.
