  1. Those are great too. I sometimes play their albums straight through
  2. Tyler Childers is hot here with many of the transplanted southerners. I like him. Uhhh let me find a song.
  3. I would experiment, is what i would do. I have never thrown something like that. In conversations with someone in the past who thought this lure was very interesting, they seemed to suggest it would work great naked and i suspect it would. But i think something like a split tail trailer or a spunk shad trailer would work good too. Those would be the first trailers I'd try. Not something big and bulky like a zako to fill up a lot of the space within the skirt. Edit: Actually I don't know now. A split tail or spunk shad might just get completely hidden. I don't know. I'd have to see it in my hands to know
  4. Run with it if it works for you ? Edit: I'm sorry I don't have advice or experiences to share about the heavy cover Picasso chatterbaits. But figured Id share the one picasso chatterbait that I was really intrigued about. As far as I know its the only one with bucktail tied on it.
  5. While I think there are still places you can throw a spinnerbait that you cant even with a chatter bait with a weedguard, I think hypothetically a chatter bait could replace crankbaits and spinnerbaits, sure. I don’t really throw crankbaits or chatterbaits for the same reason
  6. Why in the heck do we have blades made out of carbon fiber? Picasso does get very creative with their stuff. If I were to get a chatterbait from them it would be this one: Otherwise, jackhammers kill. Spinnerbaits have replaced chatterbaits for me
  7. This is my goal for winter break back in NC
  8. You don’t need to learn everything but regardless I wish you luck ?
  9. Sipping on a cold brew right now.
  10. Flipping/punching jigs IN lily pads. I expected much better results than I got. However, I do think that I lost one of the biggest bites I've gotten this season doing that. I tried hard, it just never was terribly effective for me
  11. Cut tail worm is my favorite style of worm and, for me, they have had an uncanny ability to produce bigger fish compared to other worms. They aren’t magic, but they work for me often. 90% of the time I’m using 3/16 oz bullet weight
  12. You know how it goes ?. Like fine wine, buzzbaits get better with age
  13. spinnerbait box, a edge deep box holding terminal tackle, jigs, some frogs, some other random stuff like spare skirts, blade box for spinnerbaits, and loose bags of soft plastics that are stored in the storage compartment bags the kayak came with. I'm looking at getting a speedbag instead for waterproofing
  14. Blessed with the opportunity to fish for a while today. I caught quite a few dinks and then one decent one shown. Today was a puzzle! There had been a warming trend for a couple days, and then this morning it was quite cold at 34 degrees around the time I started. I expected to find some better fish deeper, but I found the better fish pictured sitting in no more than 2 feet of water! When I fished deeper, I caught small ones. A little better fish in the shallows clued me in to where some better fish might be. I fished spinnerbaits almost the whole time with humdinger rubber skirts that I got recently. Those skirts really dance! Looked cool in the water. I also verified that a single colorado was what the fish wanted today. I threw other blade combinations and regardless of cloud cover, single colorado worked best so i kept throwing it.
  15. That’s so awesome. Congrats!!! ? . And on a spinnerbait too, love it
  16. Gambler Burner worm Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh buddy
  17. My Revo Winch because I throw spinnerbaits way too much. Just rigged this up for tomorrow
  18. Depends on what kinda sale Nichols has going on their website on Black Friday for me, if they have any sale. If it’s too good to pass up, I’ll pick up some pulsators
  19. Fished this past weekend only for two hours, been a lot busier recently. My only bite was finessing a texas rig through grass like you have said to do before. Pressure built up, and the worm lurched out of the grass. Bite followed soon after. I like the technique. Fishing tomorrow
  20. Lots of great information in this thread, thanks ya'll
  21. Naw doesn't seem like it. I should mention that my Dad got me the pair of them for hunting but I have used them for fishing before also. He said he got them at Cabelas but that they are no longer being made. I was in a tree stand long, long before fishing.
  22. I’m taking notes on your tools set up ?. Glad you got another trip in and hope we can help to keep you sane these next few difficult months
  23. I have those same boots I’m pretty sure. Look awfully similar. Nice trip!
  24. Stuff for cold water spinnerbladin, mostly in muddy water. The Stanley vibrawedge I’ll use later in the year, but man that is the most gorgeous lure I’ve seen. No photos do it justice, it is a sight to behold. I took a gamble on the humdinger skirts, wasn’t sure how’d they’d work. I’m still not sure how I feel about them. They were incredibly hard to install on the single Colorados shown and also prevent me from using a trailer. I’m sure they won’t budge, but it was a pain to put them on and will probably be a pain to take them off. I also tore one. But, overall, I think these are some deadly spinnerbaits and I look forward to tossing em. Got some more pulse swimbaits too
