  1. Good grief! Save some for the rest of us! Very nice
  2. Few good ones from past few days. Not sure what happened to the third guy, why he’s bleeding. He did not swallow my worm. Hope he makes it out okay ☹️
  3. I had a thread about a similar topic recently. I’ve somewhat changed my mind about things. Despite using line I have great confidence in along with properly set drag and my best efforts to not lose lures, I still do. Sometimes this is a result of fishing from the bank. Other times, there’s just nothing I could do. I bashed on the senko to others not on this forum recently but find myself using it more than anything else right now because they are working better than anything else right now. Come fall or late summer, that will probably change. But I am using an expensive, exposable piece of plastic because they get fish for me and I can afford to tear them up because I generally don’t go crazy about satisfying the bait monkey and try not to catch dinks. I think it just comes down to what your fish are reacting to and how often you find yourself losing hard lures. Learn about your fish. I am certainly learning a lot about mine.
  4. Yes! Awesome
  5. I drove my roommates in college crazy a couple semesters ago when I was less neat and organized because they would find fishing line all over the floor throughout the semester. I religiously tied new leaders on before every trip. I’m more neat now. I try not to leave hooks or line anywhere. Maybe a benefit of living with others is they’ll tell you when you’re doing something wrong or bothersome
  6. Them’s the one. ?. I’m bringing these up because I just saw one that a gentleman had. Literally 50 years old and looked every bit of it. Crazy looking things. He said they were great lures
  7. Hey ya’ll, who knows these? ?
  8. That’s what’s up ??
  9. That’s dark. Very dark ?
  10. Tiny Paca chunk tipped on hook or zoom lil critter craw
  11. Thanks very much for your review. I was thinking of getting this frog but I think I’ll steer clear and go for trophy series instead. My only interest in frogging is for real heavy, heavy stuff.
  12. Wunderground for the win. Having this same dilemma right now. Pouring rain but what else do I do for fun? Edit: also, I cant say about fishing during the rain but I always prefer cloud cover.
  13. Tom appreciation day. I like it. I tried Nichols and Brass N Glass because of him and he has changed the way I retrieve jigs. Thanks Tom ?
  14. Okay. I did the same thing after watching a video by GMan but I still use trailer hooks. I found when there was some light still on the water, I had no trouble hooking a couple. However, once the sun went down and it was truly pitch black night, I was unable to hook a single fish. I do believe they were smaller fish. Looking for some help on this. How can I improve my hooking ratio at night? There is a lake where I believe night fishing with buzzbaits could be the deal.
  15. I’m pretty inexperienced here. When I get Fred’s Magic Stick now called Fred’s Frog Stick I believe, I’ll toss around some bigger spinners. I previously said on some thread that I know of someone secondhand who trophy fished for bass using only 1oz single Colorado spinnerbaits. That big ol head probably helped stabilize his lure and get it down deeper. There are some blade configurations that only a big ol head could stabilize.
  16. I believe he was making a funny Darnit now imma have to try working a t rig through grass again ?. I will review some of your old posts. Don’t wanna miss out
  17. I like t rigged creatures more than I like t rigged worms. I also do not like t rigs or jigs for that matter in grass, sorry @Catt.
  18. He’s a wizard, Harry.
  19. Heck ya! What a fish! Bet that felt good ?
  20. I admit, it has been exceedingly difficult to convince a bass to eat one in the postspawn thus far for me. Yes I love em though. Biggest fish and most fish ever on em. My own first bass was caught on a fly rigged up some way that I could troll for bass by paddling backwards in a kayak. That is how someone taught me to fish. It was crazy effective. I wanted to learn bass fishing with spinning gear though so I pursued it.
  21. Thanks man! Ain’t mine really. That is a family hand me down from Grandpa. I am using my rigged up kayak otherwise edit: I’ve been told that hand me down isn’t a good expression for stuff you value. Call it what you want. I love the canoe.
  22. This was best fishing day in a while. Finally got some rain after a long draught and hot spell as well as overcast conditions in the morning. All this seemed to help. Mi madre got two and I got 5. I’ll show my 5. Best ran at 22”. Used both live bluegill and senkos. Senkos have been the best artificial bait for postspawn so far. I don’t know why. If the first three photos show up messed up, hey idk man, I ain’t tech savvy.
  23. Limited edition Mark? My oh my
  24. Curious why you want a deeper running squarebill. Better deflection?
  25. Use what you have confidence in but I would not do that brother. Frog hooks are typically heavy. Your drag must be set pretty tight on that light line in order to get good hook penetration. If you catch a bigger one you run risk of breaking off. One nick in that line and that chance increases greatly. But, I acknowledge I don’t know everything. Far from it
