  1. Nice tip there, thank you
  2. No specific rod, but, since I’ve been night fishing recently, I like to bring my dropshot setup to carry me through sunset and then I’ll switch to my night stuff once it gets dark. My dropshot rod is currently a St Croix Legend Tournament Spinning 6’10” “Dropshot/finesse.” I’m still experimenting with line setup on that deal.
  3. Sometimes they just take a day off and watch lures go past with a Modelo.
  4. Rage Lobster. Rage craw is a half measure.
  5. Another good night with another limit. The night bass have been awfully consistent. Here's best five.
  6. What’s a senko?
  7. Nice looking bait
  8. Try a new (to you) plastic over the past couple of seasons and really like it? Share what it is and how you use it here.
  9. Delivered. I am a big fan of terminal tackle organization. For those of you that told me 2 3600s of terminal tackle was only the beginning, you were correct
  10. Yep I use Plano rustrictor 3600s for all my terminal tackle. Plenty of dividers. I will send photos later.
  11. I might amend this to too fast and not close enough to cover. Spinnerbaits will work in open water, but they are far better reeled slow and tight to cover. I believe the cover can act to obstruct a fish’s view of the spinnerbait, enhancing the illusion appeal.
  12. @Joedodge on the kayak I keep a headlamp with spare batteries, 360 overhead light with spare batteries, and a high powered flashlight for signaling with - you guessed it - extra batteries.
  13. Got out for another night fishing session. Bite was slower than last weekend but still managed a limit. They wouldn't touch a bait after dark if it wasn't a spinnerbait. I also picked up a couple fish on a dropshot before dark.
  14. Guess I'm no help because I run zoom. Mag 2 and ol monster.
  15. That's no fun
  16. I don’t like fishing the same small places over and over
  17. Use the trolley. I use a 15lb anchor shaped like this. They hold better than mushroom anchors.
  18. Locked the drag down with 8lb line Went swimming with fishing poles Tried to get fish to eat crankbaits floating on the surface Called 3lb bass 8lbers
  19. Soft plastics are more expensive. If I have one good day with a particular soft plastic, I will buy 4 packs in the color(s) that worked and the bass will never bite it again.
  20. Roboworms have been one of the hottest baits for me after trying them this year. I started dropshotting with them, but I quickly grew fond of them on a shaky head, too.
  21. Caught 14 last night. 9 were keepers. I was fishing a main lake bluff. Here's best five.
  22. Slow is always a good bet with a spinnerbait. OP, you did not provide a budget. I recommend the REVO Winch 5:4:1. I have Gen 4s and Gen 5s. I like the Gen 4 better for spinnerbait fishing, but there is nothing wrong with the Gen 5. You can't go wrong with 15lb big game fishing spinnerbaits. Braid just seems unnecessary to me. If it works for you, stick with it. I don't recommend 20lb braid on a baitcaster, as it will tend to dig. 30-40lb will work fine if you are adamant on keeping braid.
