back in 1992 while living in Detroit Lakes, minn i was a certified Ski-Doo snowmobile technician working at a ski doo- john deere dealership. Come dec at x-mas time there was no snow on the ground. I and the salesman looked out the windows and knew we were screwed as the prime selling dates had long passed and now the boss was paying the floor plan interest on all the sleds sittin in the showroom. Come late january the Ski doo reps and accountants along with 3 tractor trailers showed up in the parking lot and loaded all the sleds, clothing, helmets, parts and banners from the store and off they went. We were no longer in the snowmobile selling business. There is not alot of profit on the sale of a new sled, around $200.00 to 400.00 was the range, money was to be made by selling the clothing, parts and repairing sleds.

I just last night downloaded a movie named, Mending the Line, I had no idea it had alot of fishing related stuff in it pertaining to your post. I thought it was a war movie, man was i surprised, my wife even cried at the end of the movie.

A year ago when wife and i went to Chicago i was seeing all the signs for toll roads as i was cruising 65mph into chicago and wondered where do i pay or is this free? I seen old toll booth pullovers but they were closed. Well i didnt worry about it untill i was in greenbay wisc a day later and asked a couple exiting their car with illinois plates whats with the tolls and they told me its my responsabilty to go online and register and open an account with chicago tolls or whatever it was and enter my license plate and approximate dates i traveled through. It popped up and i owed them like $8.00 from wisc border to chicago and back. If i wouldnt have paid i would have gtten a bil in the mail with a possible late fee.

we went fishing this past saturday in n dakota, it was weather perfect at 50 degrees 5 mph wind. The dam river water was cold and clear the minnows were lively on the hook but no fish around. No bites no fish but learned a a valuable lesson at this dam, dont fish here after Oct 18. last year was the same exact weather on Oct 18 and we caught walleye limit along with numerous catfish, smallies. Exactly 1 month later the fish have moved out.

One thing i just despise about auto shops is when they tell you that they did a courtesy car inspection after repairing your car and they checked and adjusted my tire pressure. I only trust my mid tier quality dial guage and checking tires in the morning or evening.

its 7 am saturday and i stepped outside and the frost tickled my nipples, its a warm frost so we are packing the car to go fishing at the dam. First stop scheels for minnows. Hmm wear long johns under my pants or bring a extra pair of cold weather pants to put on for when the sun goes down?

I run my tires in the summer at 33 psi, in the fall i keep them at 33 psi and when the cold hits i keep at 33psi. With the sun down and 33 degrees out i checked my tires and they are all at 28psi, a 5 lb drop since i last aired them up in september, so back up to 33 and will check again whenever the temp gets into the teens and stays there.

Here in dakota it will start to get cold on monday, saturday its supposed to hit 50 and sunny with 6mph winds. I have our fishing gear all set out so when i step out on saturday morning and i feel some sun on my cheeks we are going fishing and no sun i will be going back to bed.

I lived there for 10 years, all i can tell you is that its dark and everyone lives on philippine time which you have to have lived there to understand what philippine time really is, it screws your brains time process up bad, right Navy Toad?
