Razors

What razor do you like to use?

I use a Harry’s 5 blade. Shaves smooth and close and I just buy replacement blades as needed

I was ticked when Gillette did away with the 2 blade so I got stuck with a 3 blade although I see no improvement over the 2, just costs more.

These days I’ve gotten soft and do the majority with a Braun 7 and the Sensor 3 when I’ve got a big date.

I do find Cremo works way better then canned shave cream.

Gillette Mach3 is what I've been using pretty much since they came out.

Mach 3 and OG Barbasol. I’ve tried about every number of blades out there and everything from brush/foam to higher end gels. Those two get it done and leave some scratch in the bourbon budget.

Gillette Fusion 5 & Creamo Shave Cream.

I know I received a warning, officer, but I have an appointment tomorrow at 9:45 AM sharp.

I got tired the cost associated with trading out the 5 blade cartridges and switched to a double edge shaver. Couldn't be happier with them and no guilt putting in a new one as soon as it starts to lose its edge.

Kershaw. You'll keep your knife sharp if you shave with it.

I started a subscription with Harry's. I got no complaints, even though I'm not supposed to be shaving my head with these blades. I can't grow enough on my head to make it worth letting them grow. Let the beard to crazy instead.

I saw an ad where Costco now carries Harrys. I am a Mach 3 user with Nivea shave cream.

I use whatever my wife left in the shower for her legs.

Last year I started using my dad's old double edge razor from back in the day.  After using a Gillette Atra for 30 years there was a bit of a learning curve, but it is easier to clean and the blades are cheaper.

Alternate between

1) Panasonic electric 3 blade razor

2) Gillette Mach 3

3) Merkur mk34c with a Feather Japanese double edge blade

Y'all really want a smooth, clean, close shave?

Stop using shaving "soaps" & start using hair conditioners.

I shave before getting in the shower & apply conditioner to where I want to shave, my beard & what's left to the hair on my head.

Suave conditioner is like $2.00

Same.  been using them before they were available everywhere.  I remember the sales person who used to handle my purchases sent me an email saying she was moving up in the company and now in marketing but she would still handle my requests and to email her if I had any questions or issues.

I shave my head every other day and they hold up well but I am seeing all those head shavers lately so I may try one of the electric ones at some point.

No wonder you're such an ugly looking dude.  Leatherface!

Haven’t been beardless in over 12 years, but lately I’ve been rocking the mustache. I use Gillette Mach 5 or DSC razors. The Gillettes are much better but the DSC more affordable. Razors never touch my cheeks, just my neck line.

Another thing to consider is the thickness of your facial hair.  I have a very light beard growth and tried growing it out years ago.  At full growth I looked like someone out of the Amish mafia named Jedediah.  I settled on a goatee for a few years but when I got tanned in the summer, it looked like I needed a green card.  I finally just gave up and went clean shaven.

I’ve been using a Norelco for 50 years. I’ve had a beard for a lot of that time, so it’s mostly for trimming and the neck. It might not be the closest possible shave you can get, but it’s cheaper than the disposables by a long shot.

All I have ever used is Norelco electric shavers. Never had a beard or mustache either.

I'm a Braun Series 7 guy; that said, I could get away with a cat licking whipped cream off my chin 😁😔
