Hey do y’all know that thing in the fall and winter where it gets dark by 5:30 PM? I don’t like that thing

I'd feel lucky if it didn't get dark till 5:30 - today our Civil Twilight ends at 5:19...by mid December it'll be around 5:05.

I like to fish in the morning on account of daylight savings time and usually if you can get a bite this time of year early in the day, it's gonna be a good one.  I'd rather adjust my sleep schedule and enjoy 'darkness turning to light' every day until days start getting longer again in a couple months.

One thing i disliked about living in the philippines was that every day 365 days a year it was dark out at 6pm.

So are the Philippines on always on standard time and on the eastern edge of their time zone?

I very much prefer the dark. I'm always amazed at the number of boats that wait until the sun starts rising before they launch or head out well before dark. Must be a fear thing as they'll just hangout and wait. The Sun rise and Sun set is so much better observed from the boat versus the parking lot.

A truly great bass fisherman will adapt to the conditions. 😆

@GreenPig it's a mood thing for me. My energy is high when the sun is up and lower at night. When there's more darkness during the day, I want to relax more often. Unfortunately this season can trend busier.

Everyday is groundhog day no matter the time of year. Get up, go to work, come home, rinse and repeat. Doesn't matter if its light or dark outside.

i'm good with all of it.  i like sleeping in to catch the morning bite.

i go to sleep early anyways, so it feels better to me.  i used to lay down in bad in full daylight like a weirdo.  now it's all good.
