There is a big problem with contacting them, i cant even get them to reply to me about parts i needed from a year ago. Anyone here have a recent conversation with pfleuger online or someother means of contacting them? How about you mn fisher, have you ever heard back from them?

Dont know about that, i did try to return some new 832 for a heavier 832 but no go as it was past 6 months, so is the reel but i could give it a try with a little pleading. Not ever dropped, rod only fished 5 times. I was reeling a fish in fighting it through the weeds and pad stems, the drag was peeling off and i was cranking then it snapped.

I was trying many different lures today just for the fun of it, i usually do this when i am bored and need a reboot. I threw a blue jig with a beaver trailer, crank baits, jerk baits, wacky rig, spinner baits, chatterbaits, pink tubes, flukes, 8 in kingtail worm, plastic life looking crawdads and hollow body frog. The frog, super fluke and 8 inch worm didnt get bit today, all others did. Pads still havnt developed yet in my frog areas but was really surprised my super fluke on a keel hook, underspin and texas rigged didnt get bit.

The handle is $44.00 plus add in shipping and tax its over $55.00. Then there is the problem of out of stock. I will not at this time pay that much for a handle. I woud be better off walking into and buying a pfleuger regular president on sale for $59.00 at feetfarm. At least i can trust the handle as i have allready a reg president that is my wifes workhorse for the last 2 years. I am curious as what material is used for the center of the shaft? I bought this reel in dec 2021, that makes it more dissapointing. I have another XT i can use but now i have no trust in the handle and may have to use my Supreme full time now but it sucks to have to swap rods over. Will have to turn the mighty XP into my panfish reel.

Wading in the lake throwing a chatterbait, threw with the wind for a bomb cast. Started reeling in get bit and fish pulls me into weeds and pads. Struggling to pull him out the handle on my XT broke off. I have to retreat and crawl up the bank to get out of the water carring rod with bail open and get up to the shore. Put rod down and go back into water and hand pull the fish out of the weeds. The president XT to me is a solid internal working reel but if you examine the handle it is poorly constructed. Compare the XT handle to the regular President handle and the cheaper president has a much heavier style handle, the same handle that is on my pfleuger Supreme. I bring spare setups so i finished out the day but i have to say that i will never buy a XT again and i may never buy another Pfleuger reel again.

I do have 1 frog where i havnt repaired the cuts in it because it will take on water which allows it to sink down on the surface a bit which i like at certain times. Also can bomb cast it.

Shove it back in. Hollow body frogs such as the padcrasher can take alot of abuse. I have glued the body several times due to pike mauling it, i have taken the hook out, put back in, put bb,s in the body for weight, bent the hooks out, in, up.....For a little piece of rubber they are tough

Living many years in las vegas in the dry heat the houses i rented had swamp coolers which worked great. Except they didnt when the monsoon season came and brought humidity and then the swamp cooler is useless.

Thats strange, i use a vpn from a server in the mideast in bangladesh and it works fine. Germany? maybe you are right but use a vpn hooked up to the usa and you should be fine.

My wife tossed this berkley rip-stop last saturday in a heavilly fished bank area and she caught bass, pike and snagged a carp. Then this happened, 23 inches of great tasting fish. I was standing next to her saying its time to pack up when it hit and it dragged her line around from right to left and i watched in amazement her fighting this fish unknown to us what it was before she landed it.

Give your opinion on this, if i was wrong ok, if i was right ok. Dont be shy, give me a kick in the rear end if needed, i can take the criticism. Ok, i was at pf today workin out and gettin time to go home i look out the big window 10 feet from where i am workin out and i see that a jeep cherokee has went over his line in the parking space and has my driver door blocked from opening it. I go to the staff member a female at the counter and tell her i am blocked in and she tells me "its not my parking lot" I say its pfs lot and she says she cant do anything about my car being blocked in. I asked if they had a page, loudspeaker system and answer was no. I asked what should i do and she says to go around and ask the people. I asked if she could help me to ask the members and she said its not her job to do that. I then asked for a pen and paper and for her name and she gave me first name and then left to get out of the situation. So i went around asking every darn person in my walking path and the music is so loud in pf and members have music playing in their own earbuds so i had to ask loudly and alot of them dont speak english. Another staffwoman asked me why am i being so loud while the pf loudspeakers were pushing out music and i said because the music is so loud in here and all are wearing earbuds i have to speak loud. I told her the deal about being blocked and she said to ask help at the counter. Finally after asking 45 people i found the owner. No problem, he was on a treadmill and i said finish your exercise and i will work on leg presses. So i went back to counter and told them, all 4 of them standing behind the counter including the manager that i found the owner and then i asked for there names, the manager, and the staffer whom asked me why i was so loud. The manager gave his name but the other staffer would not and told me she has nothing to do with this so i took her picture and walked away and the manager said i coudnt take her pic and said he was goin to call the cops. I said go ahead and at that time the first staffer i confronted for help whom said its not her parking lot came up to me at the counter and said to me " i am leaving because my cars not blocked in." I ignored her and went to do leg presses. While doing the presses a staffer came up to me and said the guy moved his vehicle which i could see that through the big window. As i was leaving the womans whom pic i took i went up to her and showed her i was deleting her pic and she says to me " i wish my husband was here to meet you". I said thats rude, thats a threat, why say something like that when you are in customer relations and she says i dont give a xxxk. I just let it go with her and said to the manager her pic is deleted so are we all amended now and he says yes and i say yes i am cool and he then asks me why i got so upset as I could have gotten in from the passenger side and i say well i shouldnt have to crawl over my center console and the stick shift in a 2004 honda civic. He then asks me what i woud have done if this happened at the big shopping mall and i said i dont know but i know how it works here at planet fitness. I said allright see ya all i am kool with it all and left the building.

Last year I had 30 # spiderwire braid with 30# seagur blue and i got snagged in the pads when wading up to my chest. I couldnt walk any deeper, i grabbed the line, wrapped it around my gloved hand and pulled that line out with everything i had and with it came the pad stem stuck on the 4/0 ewg texas rig. I also winched out the bass that were just burying themselves in the pads. I never broke off that day. Here was the 30# blue label leader that did the winching that day. Using palomar knots the blue label just winched itself out and give credit to the spiderwire as it served me well also. The only bummer is the high cost for 25 yards.

Yes just a few minutes ago i had to use the bathroom but wife was using it and door locked. So i grabbed an empty gatorade bottle and did my thing and instead of capping it i was holding it and thinking about using 30# snelled leaders as the weeds are thickening up before our next trip and i then took a swig of the bottle. I spit it back into the bottle and then washed out my mouth with mouthwash. I have heard of people drinking there own pee when caught out in the desert and in desperation squeezing pee out of elephant dung so theres that. No i am not embarrased to share this on the forum as i am still laughing about it. XXIT happens?

I got away from using o-rings last year and had the usual problems of worm getting mangled, broken and run up the line from the hook. Then i went to 1 oring and had the bluegill stealing worm problem. Well this year i went to using the 2 crossed o-ring deal and have had great success with worm staying intact and not sliding up the line. I am using octopus hooks with metal cage weed stop on a drop shot. This is a pic from saturday, i put a long down 3ft drop with a 1 oz weight on it and cast out from bank and drag it in through the weeds. The fish i caught like this one got the point of the hook right through center of its bottom lip. The worm didnt budge.

I can attest to this as last year using one o-ring i was robbed by the pesky blugill repeatedly running with the worm. The worm slips out so easilly you wonder how in the heck and then you put another one on and in seconds its gone again.

I fished a lake close to Gainsville FL back in 1980 while i was stationed in jacksonville. Out in my friends boat this was unusual and new to me to be fishing amongst gators and i was excited to see them. Since then i always wondered if people water ski in lakes that may contain gators? Anyway i will stay in minnesota to do my fishing where beavers, muskrats, otters, snapping turtle and the occassional gardner snake are my only threats while wading.

mine are also smooth. I just wish the handle crank covers for the side the handle isnt on would not strip out the threads on the very cheap plastic cap when moving the handle to the opposite side. Talk about a cheap company, the covers should be made of aluminum or some type of metal.

Amazing how many products are made by one company and rebranded to fit a need. The price points can very pending on the gullability of fisherman compared to some schmo weighing his carry on luggage for boarding a plane.
