  1. This river here only bank fishing allowed. I fish the wing wall, I throw like a curve cast and can get my lure pretty far around the bend. Then i fish the the center of the main flow, then cast to the other bank and reel back to me fancasting. Then i walk down a bit and cast across using everything in my arsenal that i got an itch to use that day and work it back, fancasting. Then i cast paralell with the bank down stream and back. walk a bit more and repeat.
  2. Coming soon, you will have to pay the manufacturer a monthy fee to use your brand new cars radio.
  3. Went to the dam on the ottertail river in minnesota. Caught 2 smallies on a wopper plopper and then threw some ball head jigs and got snagged. Just 1 snag and i broke off and said i had enough of this so i put a bobber on with a ballhead jig with a berkley max scent flat nose minnow. Threw it out into the current and let in bounce off the rocks and down stream. I caught a nice smallie with that setup, she fought hard, pulled hard and i got her in.
  4. probably didnt want to chip in for gas.
  5. I am very good of finding the right height of praire grass beside a lake and next to the road in a ditch to squat down in wearing chest waders and take care of business all the while road traffic is driving by.
  6. I was stationed in guam and didnt make it to the PI back in 1985. When i got out of the military i always said i was going to live there one day in the PI, now called the PH for polittical correctness. Finally in 2009 i retired from civilian life and moved to the PH for 10 years and brought my panay wife back home to the usa in 2019. She wants to go visit her familly but i am not vaccinated and she is not vaxxed. Also airfare for round trip is insane and now monkey pox is causing a stir back in the PH.
  7. Also on some of my square bills i have removed the leading hook of the front treble to help reduce snags. Front treble is now a double only.
  8. Getting cavities filled while i was living in the philippines was very cheap. Cost 500 peso = $10.00 or 750 peso= 15.00 if you wanted the tooth deadened. The average philipino makes 300 peso= $6.00 a day. Many a patient couldnt afford the needle. Thats the reason many philipinos dont have any teeth left.
  9. I had the exact same pain under my shoulder blade on both sides and spent alot of my own money on dry needling. I got needled 2 times a week for 5 weeks. It didnt help, I am all for dry needling and it has its place as it does what its supposed to. In my case that shoulder blade area i got no relief and in fact on one occasion made it much worse for days and i called it quits after that. How did i get rid of the pain deep under the blade in my rhomboids? Well first of all it may not be the rhomboid, it may be one of your 4 rotator cuff muscles-tendons that are tight. Yes study up on the cuff and where they attach onto your back, yep, right under your blade and onwards to the shoulder joint. I researched manys hours and watched many videos on how to stretch the 4 cuff muscles and i was cured after 10 days. I stretch them out every 5 days to keep it all good. Now no doctor or therapist ever mentioned this to me, they all wanted to dry needle me, send me to therapy to build my muscles around the blades but no dr ever told me to stretch the back. I figured this all on my own, i even hang from a beam in my basement fully off the ground for 75 seconds letting gravity pull me apart while i untense my body. Read on your own, research yourself as most therapists want to massage the sore trigger point and build strength but always never have you stretch.
  10. Also I use a bobber at times with a jig head, throw it upstream and let it go downstream while its ticking the rocks. Throw it in eddies and let it swirl around back and forth.
  11. Umm thats not true, I live in North Dakota and while washing the dishes last wednesday, well just look at what i encountered.
  12. do you need a prescription for the good stuff and is it expensive?
  13. Dont know if i ever asked you but do you stretch your muscle groups and do you ever just hang from a bar letting gravity stretch you?
  14. This year since the early 1990,s i finally switched to 832 from spiderwire. I only did this for a test to understand what all the hype is about 832. Well i will be sticking with 832 because it doesnt fray as bad as spiderwire and casts better.
  15. I recently used a double vmc 0-ring on a berkly general and the rings were so tight that after a 1/2 hr of casting it with no fish caught the worm split in two. First time that has ever happened to me, i put the circle hook through the rings only.
  16. I have bought many jerkbaits and crank baits at garage sales and i offer $2-3.00 per lure.
  17. Thats for sure, you need to work your rod like you are a symphony conductor. Whenever you feel the lure tap the rocks on reel in you gotta be carefull because here in the minnesota rivers the zebra mussles will grab the hook and you think you have a fish but its you pulling the lure free of the mussel clump. Using square bills that float up are real effeciant for not hanging up, the suspending jerks you have to work the rod to get them up above the rocks, to deep and youre askng for a snag. When you lose an expensive jerk bait in a snag you will then become an expert .
  18. Bowl of chicken soup makes me feel good.
  19. whats a larry in alabama?
  20. Garrison dam is 267 miles from me so i wont be going anytime soon if ever. He needs a bigger net and i need to bring my net but the way i traverse the rocks a long distance from where we stage its just more things i have to carry and trip over. Before i would carry the net and leave the net in a spot and always end up to far away to get it and even forget where i left it so i go with out net.
  21. Just another reason wife and i are fishing the dams as we usually come home with walleye and we enjoy eating it. The price of fresh walleye filets in the grocery stores here are $24.00 a pound and that justifies the cost of bait we use to catch them. Now if we could only sell our catch to the grocer it would be a money maker.
  22. the youtuber is NDyakangler and the dam is baldhill dam in north dakota. One guy i met this year at orwell dam in minn just moved up from missouri this spring to fargo nd after watching yaks videos just because the abundance of fishing lakes and rivers available within an hours drive. He had been to baldhill in april and showed me a pic of a monster pike he caught and thats what made me decide to go check out baldhill which is only 65 miles of interstate from me. North dakota also has garrison dam up on lake sakakaweia with great fishing and devils lake but those 2 are a much longer drive for me.
  23. yes it is and when you watch him catch those big muskie like i did i went out there and caught my own last friday.
  24. My ice car gets taxed by registration also. I am paying at the pump a certain amount of $ to pay to fix the roads. How are electric cars going to pay that road tax? Electric cars are very heavy due to the weight of the battery and electric motors. In this chart showing weights the ev should be paying more for road tax than an ice engine small coupe or sedan because just like big dump trucks, tractor trailers, they damage the road more from their weight. Here are all of Tesla’s current models sorted heaviest to lightest: 5,390 lbs – Model X Plaid 5,185 lbs – Model X Long Range 4,766 lbs – Model S Plaid 4,561 lbs – Model S Long Range 4,416 lbs – Model Y Long Range/Performance 4,065 lbs – Model 3 Long Range/Performance 3,582 lbs – Model 3 Standard Range Plus 2,723 lbs Gen. 1 Tesla Roadster
