Whats The Favored Caliber/Cartridge For Deer?
all calibers are wonderful. you can literally pick anything and get it done.

Are There Times When Fish Just Don't Bite?
I think a bass will always eat/bite something. nothing I own sometimes..but they will bite something.

Newport Vessels new kayak outboard motor
I kinda think our kayak weight capacities are sometimes a total guess anyways. hahha.. it does suck fishing with kayak friends that are motorized. none of my jerk buds will even let me hang on. I am panting next to them trying to keep up while mouth breathing, and trying to swallow a powerbar

Scheels is coming to town
I've never been in one. driven past a few on cross country trips, and they look huge. not sure even a store like that could save my local malls. California malls are a dying breed.

Time for Some Truck Maintenance
I buy my oil filters from my Dealership. I get them three at a time. they are next to one of the big bridge Contractors I work with. I had a meeting so I just ducked in and bought my TWO filters. not sure why I didnt buy my usual three. I also got 2 crush washers for the oil drain plug. total was $18+++. I was meeting with my contractor and thought...how can 2 $5.99 filters come up to almost $19. I looked at the reciept and each crush washer was $2.99. I LOL'd. hahahahaha... whatever. I still won't buy potential fakes, and I will still continue to use a new washer each change out. I remember I used to get them for free.

The 7” Senko
I see the veteran CA Delta fishermen throwing the 7" Senko as a Punch bait. they use big tungsten sinkers and thread them into the thickest stuff. I watch this old guy drag out a river monster. I never buy them. I also watched a guy wacky one. he would feather the spool right when the worm enters the water. he said it folds the big worm up with the inertia and the worm enters the water so quietly, like a high diver. he said the smaller worms dont do that. I can't feather with just timing..so I never buy the 7"

Medium power spinning rod
I started with this rod, so it is the style I seem to gravitate towards. I have taken hundreds of bass on this rod. I can feel the tiny ticks of a bass even on a very distant drop shot rig. introducing the Phenix Maxim. 7'2"...it is awesome. for wacky/neko, I use a Dobyns Kayden. I now like a more parabolic rod because I seem to have more lure contact anyways and can feel the strike easy. then the softer rod cushions my over exuberant hooklets, and enthusiastic fish fight. took a good PB with it and that rod stole my heart. I was cranking like an idiot and the rod was "whoa, kid..."

Looking to buy a dedicated jerkbait casting rod to pair with Curado MGL 150
I like Fishtanks idea. there is a guy that fishes the entire lineup. I felt the Flatside special was better with the V110. he likes the one called the Jerkbait special. I think I V110 casts so well, I slightly faster rod worked for my weird style. nice guy he let me try them. he actually showed me that I was jerking way too hard to begin with. I wasted an entire winter season being very unsuccessful with the Vision. right or wrong, I dont have money to buy dedicated rods. I just use my Fury 733, which seems to cast them fine. now if can just temper my "yank" into a "jerk"

Teckel Kicknocker?
thanks. i'm going with the OG version. that Xcite thing says they were dreamed up by some pro. that thing was invented by a Japanese dude as far as i can read it. Hitoro something.

2-4 piece Major Craft rods; ferrule fit/finish
My Triza rod is just like that. Curious.

Teckel Kicknocker?
i am going to Oklahoma again to fish for Stripers. i just show up with a duffel bag and a travel rod. i carry on my bag, so i cannot even bring a good bottle of whiskey or California wine(!). my brother is picking me up at the Dallas airport, so i suppose i could stop and buy some steaks and booze, but the camp host is a megastar. he plans the menu and everything. five steaks would ruin his plans. i was thinking of some simple gifts of gratitude. i'll buy all the beer and ice no problemo. one gift would be a walking bait. i think i want to try the Kicknocker. not exactly the most cost effective top water, but whatever. i missed the 15% sale at the Hookup Tackle, since they sold out. i need FIVE. hand them out to each camp guest as a momento to the fishing. it is a topwater that i know the team wouldnt buy for themselves. they go with Berkeley offerings. thoughts? they have a Teckel USA Kicknocker at TW. is that the same thing? (last year they only hit on BONE color)

Any thoughts on this?
hahhahha...at least the prototype was the correct color for a boner. hahahhahah i suppose you could tip toe out to the front to pee. hahaha.. it does save weight i suppose not building 30% of the front. i would google it but i dont want to end up on some watchlist for goofy people.

Newport Vessels new kayak outboard motor
love it. but i think my Outback would be pretty impressive with the NK180. i sold my old kayak and the buyer reached out to me for paperwork to install a motor. looked like a total pain the ass to me. i am okay with Me-power instead of E-power that this point. my kayak is an exercise in simplicity to me. i dont want to complicate it too much.

Any thoughts on this?
that makes on sense to my feeble mind. that entire nose is unusable..maybe that is the storage spot of the PFD.

Why 9" or 10" ?
i think it is easier.... (disclaimer i am GUESSING here) to get the perfect action on a rod by changing the length one way or another. say you home in on the perfect action..nice softer tip, which transfers to a stiffer mid section with LOTS of backbone. but the tip could be softer on your first attempt. i imagine it is easier to just go a tad longer and get the desired affect, instead of going back to the drawing board with blank design. so i say it is "fine tuning".

Best Big Worm Rod
my friend loves his. i havent fished with him in a couple of months, but next time i will get a hold of it and check it out.

Best Big Worm Rod
i think the HOOKUP tackles has a sale on the Everygreen Combat stick now. i would get the 7-3 heavy.

Deps cover scat soft stick bait
man, the fishing industry doesnt protect their stuff under intellectual property laws? patent laws? there is so much copy-catting.

New rod!
i'm gonna try a Glass model next year for cranks. i heard they punch way above it's weight class. the Made in China thing is the reason it is $200. that same rod built where you want it would be way more. i can only afford Vietnamese made MegaBass rods. and i am not mad about it. i know my finanicial limits. i went to buy lawn furniture for a party, and everything was thou$ands of dollars, until i found Made in China....$400. i toss that one in my truck. i am not a rich man. but i stay out of Walmart. ahhahahahha..

Top Winter Baits
IMA gonna get one of these. it seems like the way better option ripping thru grass. the LV500 drops so fast, like a stone. that cant look natural in the water.

First boat in many years
i know so very little about boats, but i do recognize a sweet clean one when i see it. love it. i would love a boat with a tiller. so simple and cool.

Time for Some Truck Maintenance
love it. i do most of my stuff. it is a Tacoma so pretty easy. i usually go with OEM parts. i have warped my rotors before, but so far so good on the last go around. around here, it is long twisty downhill runs that roast my brakes. what FREAKS me out are the spark plugs. i just dont love pulling plugs from Aluminum heads. it feels like it is pulling out the threads all the time. yikes.

Shipping From T/W
I'm with this guy..the CS person is just the person lucky enough to field the call. no need putting them on blast. fishing after all is suppose to be all about fun. all of it.

Dirty Jigs
my bud loves them Dirty. he feels the jig eye is set lower away from the hook point, giving him way better hook up ratios. I dont own any. I throw Keitech fitnesse jigs and my bud think those have the tightest space between the jig eye and hook point. I never noticed a bad hook up ratio, but I'm not the best jig guy to start with.

Shipping From T/W
they hit your credit card without asking? or you paid for it the first time and it was simply backordered and will come to you without asking? or did you get the frog for free? the biggest question...which frog? on the grand scheme of online shopping, this is pretty much small potatoes to me. annoying, yea. but my triggers are poor communication and lost packages.
