  1. TW has free shipping on orders over $50 (extra charges apply on 1 piece rods). Our problem is being in Canada. Taxes and duties is what always killed me. That is until my sister moved to NY. Now I do most of my purchasing online and just have it all delivered to her place. Every 3 or 4 months I go visit and it's like Chrismas everytime. Good luck Mike
  2. There are a lot of things that I would like to improve on during the 2010 season. - Deep water cranking - Flipping Jigs in heavy cover - Swimbaits - Carolina Rigging - Drop Shotting - I would like to also improve on my sonar reading skills. Mike
  3. love em weightless texas rig. mike
  4. I like the roboworm soft swimbaits with a 6/0 owner weighted beast hooks. Action on these things are amazing. Mike
  5. Quick answer EVERYTHING!!!! Mike
  6. I have to go against the grain on this one. I have about 7 to 10 tru tungsten 4 inch swimbaits and love them. I haven't had any problem with the pin falling out at all. I have caught everything from largies to smallies and even a catfish on the bluegill colour. Granted they are really small to be considered a swimbait, they are more of an expensive crankbait. I purchased all mine on sale for around $12 at TW. I own one BBZ but haven't really used it enough to say wether it produces or not. Mike
  7. I've never used a techna AV so I have no comments on that product, but I do own a 7 foot MH fast action Zillion rod and absolutely love it. I is super sensitive, light, and has overwhelming strength. Mike
  8. I've never used the ultra soft line, I only have experience with the regular and I love it. The price is good too. I use 6 or 8 lbs test on my spinning reels and 10 lbs on a curado 100D for small/shallow crankbaits. It is a great product. Mike
  9. Great reel. I have 2 currently and am waiting for a deal to pick 1 more E7 and 3 E5. mike
  10. Number 1 for me was a daiwa zillion from BPS in Ontario Canada for $179 (they retail for $327). And number 2, I picked up 5 carrot stix 3 LTX and 2 golds for $300. They were used but in excellent condition. Mike
  11. This isn't really classed under a crank bait but i use it as a full on crank. Tru-Tungsten 4 inch swimbait in perch or blue gill. If this doesn'T meet your requirements then it would have to be the rapala dt 3 fat in shad. Mike
  12. I've hads about 7 or 8 different orders from TW in the past 2 years and they have been absolutley amazing. One time one of the guides on my crucial rod was broken they offered to replace the rod (but seeing as though I live in Canada and have all my shipments sent to my sis in NY then re-shiped to me under ''gift'' in canada i said it wans'T worth the trouble) they happily paid to fix the guid no questions asked. Their customer service is beyond first clas. Mike
  13. those look like a great set of new baits. mike
  14. great info. Really appreciated the vid. Mike
  15. The new fireline is very good ,but power pro is a proven winner in my books. Mike
  16. Hey I'm a neewb to this forum (but have frequented tackletour since 07). I've been fishing since i was 5 and am a huge bass fishing fanatic. A good way to break the ice would be to tell a little story about today's fishing: I posted my personal best today shorline fishing with a normand crappie crankbaid with a stradic 1000 compre 68 ML and 6 lb test fluro, I managed to land a 5lbs 14 oz large mouth. Mike
  17. Fishing as a number one hobby or pass time followed by camping. Unfortunatley up in Montreal the camping/fishing season is only 4 months out of the year. All winter i tend to play video games and weight train. Mik2
  18. I too have one fish mounted. Though it was my dad that had it done seeing as though i was only 7. I would never mount another fish just for a keep sake. Mike
  19. Fishing plastics. Top 2 are the texas rigged chigger craw and wacky rig senko. Mike
