  1. I only own 1 powell rod and it is the TW exclusive wacky rig rod, and no Savvys. So I can't really give a fair comparison of the two. But what I can tell you is that Gary Dobyns designed the the Max line of rods for powell, so they (powell) should fish relatively similarly to the dobyns rods. Remember thought that the graphite used in each line up is different. The actions however should remain relatively similar. Mike D
  2. Haven't used them yet, I use a lot of roboworms, and if it ain't broke don't fix it... There are a few reviews of them on the TW.com if you want to get some opinions. Mike D
  3. X2, I have both the casting and spinning model of that rod and love them both. Great blank and I like the conservative deign too. Mike D
  4. Both dobyns 735 and 736 rods are not glass, they are both graphite. mike D
  5. I use a dobyns champion 736 paired with a 2010 revo premier. Mike D
  6. Not a fan personally, I wonder where these rods suit on the st.croix hierarchy??? Mike D
  7. That is some pretty sweet customer service right there... Mike D
  8. LMAO!!!
  9. Looks WAY to good to be true. I looked up that same make and model (minus the Cabelas edition) and found one for sale on a Texas fishing forum from 2010, that boat was selling for $14 500, and I doubt the value of this boat depreciated 60% in less than 2 years. Mike D
  10. My guess is 13 - 2. Mike D

  12. My choice would be a Revo Premier High Speed retrieve for your new cumara jig rod. Mike D
  13. I baby my tackle so I back the drag off all my reels when they are not in use. Just what I do... Mike D
  14. My top 2 choices would be either a MH veritas or a MH elite tech smallmouth rod. Mike D
  15. Take a look at the reviews on TW... Your not the only one seeing the same thing. Mike D
  16. To keep the price well within your range and without sacrificing any performance, I'd look into the Abu Garica Revo S and either the 7'6' or 7'11' Veritas rods. Mike D
  17. Senkos, reaction innovations skinny dipper, chigger craws, and roboworms. Mike D
